Long Off-Season to Classic D Class Weight Cap

Also weird ass PR my push day
6 plates (575lbs) for 8 reps of incline on the new tech.
I saw a lot of guys at the Olympia in Vegas doing this machine and we just got it at the gym i go to. I saw Hutchinson doing this weight and I wanted to try, honestly pretty shocked I could do this for two sets, the second with an intensifier IMG_4284.webp

My hack squat also got back to 300kg/660lbs for 6 reps on the nautilus and it was probably one of the absolute nastiest sets I’ve done in a while.

So I wanted to take a moment to address why I won’t be keeping a detailed log anymore.

Recently I changed coaches, and I had to sign a contract including a non-disclosure agreement about the content of my plan.

I want to first make it clear— I am very satisfied with my collaboration with Luki, and that i 100% would recommend him to anyone looking to make big jumps and are serious about body building and the off season. I have no problems with him or his coaching methods— actually I know they work and they work very well, and choosing not to collaborate was actually a difficult decision that I had some reservations about because I know what is expected in terms of outcomes, and I have no negative feelings towards Luki in a capacity as a person or as a coach.

HOWEVER I still consider myself a beginner and this means 1. I have a lot left to learn, and 2. I don’t know how my body responds to other methodologies. 3. I want to know how my body will respond to different methods so that moving forward I can make a decision that is totally informed by experience as to what works the best for me, and I can say I tried and tested the various methods.

I changed coaches to try a different approach to diet and PEDS, then I can reflect and understand which method works best for me. My diet now has basically done a 180, and my off season PED protocols will be different.

My training program is also different, and am adjusting to it currently.

So today: weight 109.5kg/241.5lbs

I finally did deadlifts again after over a year.
Im starting conservatively.

Did 400lbs for 22 reps in 2 sets after working my lats and upper back.

400 does not move like how it did when I power lifted, it used to be seriously light but I need to rebuild my erectors and bulletproof where I experienced my herniated disc.

I feel very good after the session, and I am confident in my ability to rebuild my lower back in terms of development and strength.

It is what it is and a fully understandable position. Your logs until this point are very much appreciated and a great read.

Hopefully you can still post some basics info. Weight, progress pics, maybe some compound selections choices but leaving out anything considered confidential like dosages etc.

Diet points such as overall calorie load, macros might be OK?

Not sure how heavy your NDA is.

But going this path should yield some nice results if not at least some excellent data metrics for you to have.

Yeah I can do basics for sure, weight and progress pics, general progress in lifts. Stuff about volume and so on. Compounds might be possible, but yeah will leave out dosages, & exact protocol if I get the OK to log it here. If not I’ll just have to keep it in my notebook.
My coach doesnt do macros, and instead does specific food selections so I’ll ask if it’s ok if I log macros. I’ll also ask about to what extent I can discuss things or log online after the Olympia ends and I send my next check ins.

Yeah regardless of outcomes in the results i will certainly have a lot more data to inform how to program my diet, training and compound selection in the future and my knowledge will definitely be more well rounded as to applying different strategies.

What was the quote from blood sport, something like "You taught me using any technique that works, never to limit myself to one style, to keep an open mind."

For me, it's the right choice. You have to open yourself to new horizons and see how your body responds to new approaches (low volume vs. high volume; very high-protein diet vs. medium/low protein). Only by trying can you see what your body responds best.

Unfortunately, nowadays it seems like if a guy changes coaches, who knows what problems, but it doesn't have to be that way. Even the best change (see Nick, Derek).

Yes for sure, and if it doesn’t go better than before, obviously it means I had already found the method i best respond to and that I should continue the previous way.

But until I know that, I’d like to find out. i generally agree with “if it ain’t broken dont fix it” but I want to make sure I’m getting the absolute most from what I’m doing, if I’m going to be effecting my health and continuing to do this over a decade. If I’ve got that much tjme to do this, I’d rather find out sooner than later and I can rule out any “what ifs” about physical response to different food/training/gear

And of course since I don’t believe that changing coaches regularly is a good idea, I am taking a minimum of a year to compare my response to a more American style method

So here is 241.5lbs fasted

This will be first check in after we changed my diet, supplements and training protocol.

Im 3.5lbs lighter than my all time heaviest fasted weight, but my condition has been improved .

This is 8 weeks of rebound finished today.
Put on 21lbs, and still fine condition. Holding on to a little glute striations. Its days are numbered lol.

Any idea if it’s normal for these famous coaches to get you to sign an NDA? I’d run a mile if someone asked me to do that. Hope it goes well though!
Man honestly I don’t know. I figure it might be common practice amongst Americans though because the society is very litigious, so I understand from that perspective. And if we consider the diets etc as proprietary parts of a business then I also understand this.

Thanks bro! Yeah so far it’s going well, honestly is a lot more attention than what I expected due to how guys talk about “famous coaches” online and a good dialogue about how we are going to approach everything. I was pleasantly surprised and am looking forward to a productive year

I liked what I saw in his interview with Teaman. I’m sure you’ll make awesome progress!

Weight from increasing gh and new leg day finally starting to stabilize, had a of water retained after legs with the 10iu. It’s been 7 days, and now it looks like my weight finally stopped trending upwards

Some training updates—
So with the current training I have intensifiers that are much heavier. A big PR last week for load and volume was my overhead

Got to 440lbs for 5, then second set- drop set 400lbs x 9 then 315 for 8

I overshot though. While it’s still a PR, I expected 8 reps at 440, since I got 10 at 400. Idk how the hell I had worked that math out in my head. But I forgot shoulders are still a small muscle group ans I can’t add 40lbs Willy nilly like a leg compound

every body part is getting stronger within a 5 day microcycle as well. So basically every 5 days I am adding reps to the exercises that are not rotating.

One thing I have started to notice after changing my macros (Now with moderate fats and less extreme carbs) is that my weight over the course of the week is extremely stable. I have weighed myself for 3 days at the exact same weight this week, and the same last week, with exactly .5k gained.
What ends up happening is i will hit a leg day and my weight will begin to change. First it will inflate then drop the lowest point over 3 days, then increase over one day, and stabilize almost exactly.
This is totally different from my minimal fats super high carbs, where the weight would fluctuate daily, but follow a general weekly pattern revolving around my leg day.
