I get where you’re coming from. I’m in a similar situation myself. I wouldn’t write off oxandrolone (Anavar) too quickly—it’s a very mild compound overall, but it consistently shows benefits in strength, training intensity, and progressive overload. It’s not going to add mass the way nandrolone (Deca) or boldenone (EQ) might, but if nutrition and recovery are in order, the performance carryover can still pay dividends.
For context, I’m currently entering week five, running trenbolone at 150 mg per week. I haven’t seen the pronounced vascularity some people report, but I have noticed a clear increase in gym intensity. That said, I also use testosterone suspension (TNE) at 100 mg approximately 45 minutes pre-workout, and that has made a very noticeable difference in drive and intensity during training—arguably more so than the tren alone.
On the tren side, especially as a first exposure, it’s definitely been a bit of a roller coaster. No night sweats for me, but I’ve experienced some insomnia, elevated libido, and increased irritability. All manageable, but very noticeable, and it highlights how important sleep, stress management, and recovery are when using these compounds.
