Making the switch to powerlifting, Gobuckeyes 2017 log

Good effort to go to a proper gym dude. And don't focus on weight right now, just eat enough and make sure it's good food. Unless you want to loose weight obviously but it isn't easy building on a deficit, at all.

I'm 255/260 and eat like a king. I wouldn't want to know what my power would be at 230/235... seems like I'd be a weak little bitch again!!

Went to my shitty gym where I live this morning and did cardio. It is hot as hell in there!!!! It small and the equipment sucks!!! But I still did 40 min of cardio on the eliptical and treadmill.
Buying a 99 mercury marquis off a guy at work for $1000. Has 100000 and runs good. Doesn't look the best bet fuck it runs. My car is adios. Going to cost $1500-$1700 to fix the timing chain and tensionor. Plus I needed back brakes, rotors, exhaust leak, etc, etc. Not worth it.

The 4.6 V8 was a pretty reliable engine and cheap to work on from what I've seen and heard. Never owned one personally though.
I haven't owned a big car since I was 18, had a Buick back in the day. I've owned all little fast cars since then and all manuals. So this will be a welcomed changes, especially for the repair reasons. But I'll eventually buy something I want in the future. I just need a work car right now, I'm having to have my wife drive me to work, and get a ride home everyday.

Nice and easy shoulder day. Worked up to 135 3x5. My body is actually more sore this week than it usually is. I'm more tired also. I've kept my workouts shorter than normal and I'm getting better sleep. I didn't sleep well last week when all that shit happened with my car. I was worrying to much.

Easy off the line in that car; some develop head gasket issues which pressure can certainly exacerbate it. It's not as bad as the northstar motor was though. I had one of those. :( it ended up on fire somehow...

They are good cars. When you turn all the way left or right and you hear a thud noise you need to grease the wheel stops with lithium grease. You'll get it one day lol

Lmao! It is already making that noise. He told me it's the ball bearing. I figured that's a easy fix tho.

I'd assume ball bearing if that's what you're told TBH. What I'm wondering is where the bearings are? Wheel bearings? If that's the issue you're in good shape. They are cheap and easy to replace.

They are. It's a older man that owned this car. He took care of it. It's just a little older and doesn't look the best but it drives nice.

I got today off work bc of Good Friday but I'm still at the gym at 4 am. My wife now thinks I'm cheating on her lmao. I wish she could understand how I feel about powerlifting. It's a whole new passion, way better than just lifting weights and working out. I have a plan now, goals, weights I wanna lift. I wanna be a strong mother fucker, just not a big one.

Did deadlift today,3x5 285. Nice and easy, can't wait till next week to start lifting for real again.

I'm still weighing about 220. I'm still watching what I eat but it goes to shit every night. I'm finding it hard to get the will power to say no to food. I'm was a fat ass growing up so I've always had a hard time with food.
