Boom another 2.1 lbs down today that is over 5lbs this week alone already. Outside of the initial hunger when I wake up this intermittent fasting is not so horrible. I am going to say I like it better then keto because I get to keep my macros. Once I get a cup of coffee in me I am good to go.

I did not hit my macros last night and fell short on my protein intake which is very important for holding back muscle waste. I need to get better at tracking my diet making sure I am getting what my body needs. I am pushing certain limitations here so everything needs to be in check. Any good sites for tracking macros?

Leg day today. I still have trouble squatting it is mental scared of inflaming those discs again you guys that have had sciatic pain know this. Is there a good option to substitute squats. I usually just hack it out.

Squats aggravate my lower spine too. Sadly there is no appropriate substitute for squats. I would recommend not going a2g depending on how bad your case is

Front squats could be an appropriate choice. It transfers most the stress to the quads and off the back
 
Yeah what gr8white said, if you can do front squats they would absolutely be your second best option to normal squats. I'm guessing you can't do deads either?

NO no deads haven't done a single rep of deads in over 3 years. It is weird the side torque of soccer doesn't bother me anything with up and down movements does. Basketball I can play but I have to stretch and ride the stationery for about 20 minutes before I can I have to be loose. I have to be careful on headers also. The killer for me is any quick movements with my upper body heading towards the ground one small tweak and I am done. 120lb dumbells are always on the lower rack putting those back might be the riskiest thing I do. I have concentrated on strengthening my core but don't know mentally if I am ready to push it.
 
Broke the fast a while ago with a nice Buffalo Chicken salad? Pretty much blew out my fat intake in one meal though. Fasted work out was good again no problem with energy and strength I think 60mgs of var is helping there, That ends at the end of this week though.

I will link the study if I can, maybe I put too much emphasis on IGF levels - I really don't know their true impact on regeneration - but intermittent fasting can HALVE IGF levels. It's a common practice for chemo patients that wanna stop growth of malagnicies

Look back a page or so when I talk about the fast mark where you get a pulse of Gh. It is the actual intermittent fasting that lets your body stay at a low insulin after 16-24 hours your body releases a Gh pulse to help maintain muscle but continue to very proficient at burning fat sparing muscle.

I have been reading up on it and by no means do I think the traditional multi meal metabolism building diets don' work because I know they do personally. Now from what I am currently feeling is maybe intermittent fasting may be superior for cutting then the keto or carb cycling type diets. I don't think intermittent fasting is good choice for anyone wanting to put on size or strength I still feel you must feed yourself through out the day for that. It is still early it's like a new toy and I am seeing results so maybe I am a little overly giddy on intermittent fasting ......we shall see.
 
Alright scale was flat today probably time for my dose of AI. Hungry this morning not sure if it is because I am pissed or hungry. I am getting my ass handed to me today at my job. Alright shoulder day always a fun day it is cold here so I am guessing it will be a bit of a struggle. The arthritis prefers warm weather. Alright going to keep plugging away at this intermittent fasting and go get through this work out in a couple of hours.

MId March for pick up and late April for playing. I have time and the procastinator inme knows it.

I havent been keeping up here I should be in the 240's here in the next day or two. Still doing the intermittent fasting I like it but I need to get serious about my diet on the weekends slacking there. Anavar run is over not sure how good the var was. I am running around 450 test and 300 deca right now so I am not as interested about pounds yet as opposed to what the mirror looks like. My face is looking smaller so.....
 
This is a boring ass thread. No monster lifting no insane levels of juice. Nothing just some old guy trying to stay in shape to play Soccer. What is wrong with me.

Id play soccer if I had the time. I could certainly use the cardio. Soccer is for foreigners any way. We let them have that so they can FEEL superior at SOME THING

No doubt about that GR8 if we had Lebron and Gronk playing striker. Put Welker, McCoy, Mike Trout, and why not Dempsey(he does play soccer) in the midfield. Center Backs Joakim Noah and Dwight Howard. Wing Backs Jacob Ellsbury and Vernon Davis r. Domination of course if they played the game their whole life.

I play soccer because outside of bball its all this body can handle.
