Sterile Syringe Filters PVDF 25 mm Diameter 0.22 um Pore Size Individually Packaged 10/pk by Biomed Scientific
I was about to purchase these a couple days ago with everything else I bought and was unsure about them. I figured I should wait for the Whatman GD/X 25mm .2 micron PVDF to become available on medlab.

These are a great price, though. Have you tried them and are they g2g?

Never used them, never even used bottletop. I jump straight into a membrane filter setup when I started home brewing :D

What would be the best option for someone only brewing 50-100mL each time, mostly just for personal use? I saw the
Stericup 250 ml Filter Bottle Unit w 0.22 um PVDF Millipore Filter
is only $17 on eBay. Just seems like overkill for a small batch. I'm a newb and preparing for my first brew. Just trying to do my homework and be prepared as possible.

for 50-100ml a syringe filter would be fine. The stericup would be a step up if you don't want to mess with a caulk gun or a weighted setup. With the vacuum filter you'd need a pump, a hand pump may work fine buy again that's an added cost. Some people filter through a .45 filter then again through a sterile .22 so it will flow easier. What ever path you take make sure it's sterile and if you get it off ebay make sure it's not expired. Might not be the end of the world but I wouldn't want to risk a few dollars because it was past the shelf date.

Brake bleeder is a one time 30 cost. If this is a one time deal and you are only brewing one compound in small amount maybe syringe. That's a rare scenario though. I don't brew all the time but just buy and get it done. Syringe filters suck. Done it plenty. Fuck it.

How does that work exactly? I looked them up and there are so many different kinds that range anywhere from $20 to several hundred.

I'll be brewing several compounds in 50mL, as well as making an Anavar suspension or solution. Still udecided on that one too.

If you go to med lab supply they have one that's usually out of stock. You'll find the same on Amazon for $30 in stock. Just creates suction and has a gauge. Hook it to the filter give it some pumps to 10-15 psi to get flowing into media bottle below filter. Watch and pump it back into range every so often for big batches. You can do 500ml with minimal fuss.

Oh yeah. Glass media bottle no plastic shit that comes with it. Makes a mess if they crack.

EDIT you should do more than 50ml. That's like 5 bottles at 10ml. Shoot for 100ml minimum. Alternatively buy retail or brew your main standards in surplus then buy what you need around that. No one really brews for 50ml.

Great info, thank you.

So the brake bleeder will work with the Stericup Millipore filter I mentioned above? Or is there a better option?

I felt like 50mL would last me a good while, plus I'm brand new to this so if I screw up, I'd rather it be on 50mL than 100mL. Haha. I'm sure I would move up in the future. Also do you use pre sterilized vials with that set up?

Any thoughts on blending the anavar?

Yes, I use millipore. Make sure you buy PVDF membrane filters. Sometimes referred to as Durapore. 22 micron size.

Might I also recommend a hot plate with magnetic stirrer once you get going. $90 unit and kicks ass. You can get it from Amazon. Sold under a bunch of names but all the same.

I will also use Septa caps sometimes for media bottles so you can draw from the bottle.

Sterilizing is a PITA for me with family so media bottles is my limit. Personal use so I buy sterilized vials. Easiest way for big batches and pre sterile vials is a 60m syringe, supported with plunger out. Pour from media bottle to 50ml or some margin for air, seat plunger, turn upside down so air escapes through needle, push plunger on so fully set and air out. Line up vials with one in the vial to vent air and inject to fill vial. Never use below a 20g needle or you'll damage the stopped. Never fill completely or BB/BA can degrade the stopper. I buy my vials off Amazon and they can hold 14ml almost.

I hear you on caution. Do a cheap compound like test or something easy. Don't do expensive or shoot for high concentration etc. BA of 1 to 2% and BB of 18% will do most anything (I use 2%BA). BB is fine don't try to minimize it, just makes shit thin to pin and easy to go in solution. I don't ever go much above 140 or 150 Farenheit. Let temp down a bit before filtering too.

I don't make orals. Var solution would be very low dose. People have decent luck with Ora Sweet for suspension. I think 20mg/ml from memory. You could experiment with PEG 400 or something and some heat and see what it will hold at after it's cooled and Sat for a few days. Personally go suspension or make caps. I just buy caps premade.

Hope that helps. Too many people fucking up here lately. Note that this isn't hard at all, it's because they don't know shit and try crazy things.

Sounds good! I've been reading a lot for several weeks so far. I've bought a small notebook to take notes of all the info.

A hot plate with mixer is out of the budget for now, I'm hoping a 150mL beaker and stir rod will suffice for now.

I bought 4 50mL sterile vials and 4 60mL syringes with 18g needles 1.5" and 10 18g needles at 4" to easily reach the bottom of the media bottles, but the backfilling route sounds easier.

Are you transferring your to 10ml vials? I thought maybe 20 ml vials would be easier since the stopper would be taking a beating on a 50ml, and I don't necessarily want a shit load of 10ml vials sitting around. That looks bad lol.

Yeah, I think the ingredients and melting point of each compound seems like the trickiest parts. With heating, I'm going to experiment with just some MCT oil and see what the low setting on my stove gets the oil to and go from there. I'll have a thermometer ready.

I am leaning more towards suspension with the Var. I saw some Ora Blend online that has Ora Plus and Ora Sweet blended together. I've read that some people use Everlear with it as well, or alone. I would think a ratio of both would be best. Still researching, though .

Thanks again, you've definitely helped a lot.

Real quick...you don't need to worry about melt points. All you are doing is getting it into solution. Does not need to be melted at all. Most can be done without any heat, just takes longer. I don't go much above 140-150. BB is what does the trick. Keep stirring and it becomes clear

That's good to know, should make things a lot easier.

One more thing, I'm not sure what my boundaries are here for questions, but trying to find a legit sorce for raws seems like another huge hurtle. I have a couple "considerations", but I was curious if there's a common trusted source on here? I'm still learning how to navigate on here. Could you point me in the right direction?

Finally going to brew today I am excited. Then running a nice EQ mast and Test with anavar cycle.

So this is a general question but I want to do masteron in this case.

1 gram = 1000 mg
10 grams= 10,000 mg

So If I wanted to do 600 mg a week it would be a 16 weeks cycle. with 10,000 mg of raw.

So to brew do I just put the 10,000 mg of powder into 100 mL of substance (oil,ba,bb)
This would be a concentration of 100 mg/ml. I could also make 10 vials.

Now to make a concentration of 200 mg/mL. I should cut the 100 mL into 50 mL I believe?

I am going to be using 2 percent BA and 14 percent BB.
Ok I make mine at 300mg/ml
Mig 840 2/20
I use a little more raw so I can add 3
ml more oil cause I use bottle top filters and a couple mls stay in the filter so I could be short on filling all the vials
Mast E may hold using MCT but I really like how thin Mig 840 is
Most compounds I can use 27ga

@jJjburton, since you brewed maste recently, I wanted to ask you if you noticed whether or not finished maste had any sort of smell.
I ask because with maste I noticed a mild smell and I did not experience any sort of smell with testcyp, Tpp, or primoe

Na brother definitely not. No different from any other compounds besides the ones you would use EO or G in which of course Mast e you don't
