Masteron question

Finasteride microdose and oral minoxidil will protect hair indefinitely for the vast majority of men.
Could you provide an example of a microdose for the Finasteride and oral minoxidil? Also, is this for a cycle or forever?

Start Finasteride at .25mg/day. Give it one week to reach a stable level to assess any perceived effect. For most men, you'll feel nothing. It's challenging to quarter a 1mg Finasteride tablet. Use a "razor blade" style pill splitter commonly available at drug stores, amazon, etc. Don't get too hung up on precisely even pieces. There is no risk of severe sides at this dose even for hyperresponders, like me. Keep in mind men with enlarged prostate routinely take 5mg/day, 20 times this dose, and most don't experience sides.

Start Minoxidil at 2.5mg. You likely won't experience sides, but if you do, it'll most likely be minor water retention that resolves within 30 days as your body acclimates the vast majority of the time.

If all goes well after 30 days, increase Minox to 5mg day for maximum benefit. Allow for another 30 days to acclimate. If you need to, drop back to 2.5.

Try to increase Fin to .50mg/day as well, Again, give it a week. If you experience any sides, likely not, at the worst very mild, you can drop back to .25mg and the sides will resolve within a week or so. It's a very safe approach for a med that has some irrational fear around it.

It's forever.

If how your parents look is an indicator of genetics, I have poor hair genetics but have managed to keep a full head of hair over years of gear use with topical treatments (daily minox & RU, weekly microneedling). Better to start sooner than later.

@Ghoul I have some Hims chewable pills but the dosage is crazy. They contain 1.1mg fin and 3mg minox. I don't want them to go to waste but I don't know see anyway to get a microdose out of them that would be close to your suggestion above. Any suggestions or should I just buy fin and minox seperate?

Buy them separately.

Either order from India PCT vendor or

First go to GoodRx and find the cheapest local pharmacy for both:

Without Insurance "90 day supply". (This will actually last you longer than 90.)

90 x 1mg finasteride tabs $10
180 x 2.5mg minoxidil tabs $20 (there are no 5mg tabs).

Then make a telehealth appointment to get a prescrip for both from sesame (cheaper if you're a Costco member), or GoodRXcare. It'll take 5 minutes to get the prescrip.

"Hi I have male pattern balding. I used 1mg finasteride and 5mg oral minoxidil years ago and it worked well but I stopped, and would like a prescription for them., No health issues,..blah blah" . "Could you please send them in as 90 days prescriptions because they're cheaper that way, thanks.".

Have them call it into the pharmacy you found with goodrx.

$50-60 total you're good for 4-5 months with pharma grade meds.

Let me know if you have any questions.

^ solid advice from Ghoul, I use GoodRX, TelyRX, and Amazon pharmacy all the time for minor stuff. All similar processes more or less except TelyRX I believe lets you tack on as many items as you want for single visit cost.

Mast doesn’t really make you lose hair, your genetics do. I had a recent scare with it but turned out to be shedding from oral minox as I had started that about 5 weeks before, what little hair thinned out came back and still running mast. It’s the best steroid imo.

Been taking 1mg finasteride ed, topical minoxodil foam which i apply heat to make it a liquid applied to scalp every night. I'm on 150 test, and now taking 100 mast all of the time and my hair is thicker now than it was 20 years ago lol. I believe oral minoxidil works great but more potential risks

what about your erections?

what about your erections?
What are those again?

Just kidding. No issues with achieving or maintaining an erection since starting finasteride. I began with M/W/F dosing, then increased to five days a week, and now take it daily - still no issues. In fact, since adding the Mast, I feel even better as it has lowered my SHBG a ton. I do take 5mg of Cialis daily though.

I tried sesame last night and the damn FNP wouldn't prescribe minoxidil because of "retrograde ejaculation"

That's insane. It's not a symptom linked to Minoxidil in any formulary I can find.

It sounds like they were completely unfamiliar with it and stumbled across something. Did you choose a provider with "hair loss" as the symptom?

You're the first person out of many I've ever heard of being denied.

Sorry for the wasted fee, I'm certain of you try somewhere else like GoodRXCare youll get it.

Also, mention you "used it several years ago without issue" whenever requesting any med.

I'll be complaining about it to Sesame just to see what happens.

I heard someone say a DHT like primo or mast is not as bad as endogenous DHT, when it comes to hair loss. The natural DHT that got converted from testosterone is harder on your hair. So using less test in favor of some primo could be less net damage on your scalp?

what do you think about that?
This may be right in most cases. I personally don't know. Although I do really think it all depends on a person's DNA more than anything else. I'm 45, gone up to 1500 test before and routinely do cycles with a gram of test in them and I have a full head of hair. As soon as I take oral stanozolol I start shedding large amounts of my hair. This has kept me from using Masteron -although I may get some this year and start off slow. Once the winny caused shedding I started using the keto shampoo, micro needling, Minoxidil and for a period of time finasteride. All just to be safe as this shedding occured this year and I'm getting older so naturally my hair is still thinning despite being lucky with genetics.

Anyway, I'm just saying like with so many other aspects of these drugs we use they seem to be very specific to a person's genetics more than anything else. There aren't very many absolutes in the AAS world.

Keep in mind shedding isn't hair loss, it's a (usually) temporary disruption of the hair growth cycle. Minoxidil and Finasteride induce shedding (initially) but not loss.

On the other hand, thinning, far more insidious, is loss. It can take almost 80% loss in an area before noticing it as loss. The same optical illusion that allows a relatively small number of hairs in good transplant surgery to look like a much fuller head of hair than it actually is.

Like bankruptcy, hair loss happens very slowly, then all at once.

Good selection and decent prices, but strangely no oral minox.
Ah shit my bad, yeah oral minox in general I’ve struggled to get scripts for from telehealth for some reason. It’s one of the meds I order from India and it’s not that cheap from them either compared to finasteride. I guess there is always Hims they prescribe like a 3mg oral if you want, probably more expensive than India.

It's definitely the oddball of India meds, being far more expensive than a prescription and GoodRx in the US, which adds up as a daily pill. Much better pricing via Indiamart than our PCT guys, and one
of the rare meds customs allows through even if they inspect.

Occasionally US providers seem to be VERY cautious with Oral Minox prescriptions, but at hair loss dosages, it's less than the standard dose for a child, and serious sides are virtually unheard of at 2.5-5mg. I think they're unfamiliar with low dose and associating it with the potential sides of 20-40mg, the BP control dosages.

It's always been a breeze for me via telehealth. It may be the "I used this a few years ago without issue" line that helps allay concerns,

Once you get a prescription via telehealth, bringing that bottle to your primary care doctor is often enough for them to be willing to pick up the refills, since it obviously hasn't caused issues if you're looking for more.

The only reason I still buy it from India is convenience. 5mg tablets aren't available in the US, only 2.5mg then 10mg.

For reference, a good price from India should be $1 or less per 10 x 5mg strip (not the $5-6 from PCT vendors).
