When I had to be rushed to the ER last winter because I had serious trouble breathing due to a serious cold, that turned out to be expensive af for it all ($7800 where insurance paid $7500) and $600 for the z-pak (which did a killer job of clearing out the bugs).

Congressional Extortion: An Example

By jacking up the prices of prescription drugs, Congress holds hostage people who require such drugs to treat their pre-existing conditions. Hence, they are extorted into supporting Obamacare so that the insurance company will pay the costs that they cannot afford or reasonably afford.

Obama himself has just made this clear. After Federal District Court Judge Reed O’Connor ruled Obamacare unconstitutional, Obama said the ruling is “…a scary thing to hear, particularly if you or someone you care about has a pre-existing condition.” He said the ruling “…puts people’s pre-existing conditions coverage at risk…” Obama is scaring people into supporting Obamacare. He wants them “…to keep voting, in big numbers, in every election, for people who’ll protect and improve our care.”

Here’s a specific example sent to me, and I am certain it can be multiplied by millions of people. This person requires a controlled substance, a separate racket all its own. Prior to being placed on the controlled substance list, the cost was $40 a month. After it became a controlled substance, he paid $860 a month. That’s prior to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). Immediately after the ACA, the price became $10,000 a month. He then was no longer issued a receipt showing costs, but by dint of research and inquiry, he finds that the cost is now $15,000 a month, which is impossible for his condition and renders him a hostage to supporting the ACA. The one other alternative is to do some home chemistry for perhaps $40 a month again. That carries the risk of prison, however. The drugstores now monitor components in over-the-counter meds.

This gentleman, who has a skilled occupation, is forced to say “With the current nature of our system, pre-existing conditions must and should be covered.”

This support is generated by Congressional extortion. Extortion is nothing new for Congress. It uses this method routinely to extort the states into all sorts of programs including Obamacare.

They passed the fucking law in the middle of a looming govt shutdown if congress didnt receive drafts of the new proposed law before midnight. What did they do? Obama and his gang of assholes held out till the very last minute and released the draft of obama care in its entirety to congress consisting of 33,000 pages of info that had to be read and digested before fucking midnight.

THEY KNEW FULL GODDAM WELL NOBODY WOULD HAVE TIME TO READ THAT CUZ IF THEY DID OBAMA NEVER WOULD OF GOT HIS PRECIOUS BILL PASSED.

So it was passed in a heated rush to avoid a govt shutdown.

Thats Obamas bill bearing his name for all eternity. His crowning achievement during his 8 yrs. And its was a complete sham and dishonest from its intentions and a failure of its very design. Thats what he will be remembered for.

Health care is provided by people who work for a living. If it were really a right, those people would be slaves.

I think it's sad a service that was more often than not delivered to one's home, a.k.a. the house call, barely 60 years ago and was quite affordable by today's standards has been turned into a gigantic Ponzi scheme by the government, and the insurance and medical industries.

That is the ones who cant making a decent living. Wont make a decent living or dont make a decent living. I dont have a problem with 1 of those categories but the other 2 are rewarding failure of otherwise very capable americans of contributing like the rest of us. Thats not how life works. You bare the harvest of the seeds u plant. Dont plant? Dont fuckin eat. Simple. The elderly and disabled. LEGITIMATELY disabled i get and some thing should be set aside and far as i know it was? Medicare worked pretty good on the consumers end IIRC. This is all suggesting a wage that is povery which is much less than 65k a yr per person or family. Only folks i know that benefited from it were in the 20k category. Idk if you were effected by it. Maybe your employer soaked up a more than reasonable share to let u keep your coverage. Idk your personal situation but millions of americans like myself lost our coverage as a design of this plan. Making it so astronomically expensive to keep that no reasonable person would. Obama care is a buyout. The plans are entirely dependent on your income and what u pay. That is by design only the poverty lvl americans benefit from free coverage or greatly reduced coverage. The rest comes out of the middle classes asses. Socialism is never free. Its stealing

Yeh she was 1 1/2 That was 200 bucks for a one week supply of some white liquid suspension antibiotics but I had to go back every week for 6 weeks so 1200 bucks all together an I had to have it she had a blood infection an I think that was the medicine for that don't honestly remember just know doc said its a must have then came the rabies shots in the face 6 big ass needles right through her face while we held her down it was fuckin horrible had to do it twice
