Meso UFC & MMA

Jones has boring return but looked like rust to me... Without Diaz Mcgregor on 200 card, you guys like this as a substitute?

Not sure the exact % Dana has but it's small (still good money)
I think the brothers purchased the ufc in the 90's for like 50 million (could be a bit more)

It was actually a lot less, I remember an interview with Dana, he said they bought it for one million. Its was almost dead at that point.

Sigh* this thread makes me miss doing MMA a lot.

Either way, selling UFC would be purely fucking stupid right now. It's growing so raptly, why sell?

Why did your stop? Why would it be stupid? Hell yeah they are crushing it making it go more and more mainstream but just look how many zeros are in 10% of 4bill. Although my understanding is the brothers are considering and they own majority... That is a LOT of $$ and why not sell high?

Tore a muscle in my leg and now I'm moving and MMA gyms ask for at least a 6 months contract. But I'll move in a few days and its one of my first priorities to find a MMA gym as soon as i get there.
They are most likely (never say never) going to continue to grow. They can easily turn that 4 billion to 10 or 20. Its like if you are making good gains in the gym every week why fuck with your diet? Just keep going at it until your stop making gains and then reevaluate

I hear you, I just think it's an interesting time from a business prospective for them to evaluate a sale. Honestly I think it's bad for the sport in the US if it's purchased since they are doing an amazing job but I could understand why they would.

That sucks bro, hope you have a good recovery. I'm actually looking into getting into it more so because I'm fascinated by the sport and at this point in my life I could use it. I was looking around and like you said many around here require 6 month but they have a slightly more expensive 1 & 2 month plans that I might give a go.

@intel would you suggest me jumping into an MMA specific class or maybe focus on something like BJJ, kick boxing, or MT?

Honestly since it costs so god damn much id say go to all the classes they offer. I was one of the very few people that did everything but a lot of things transfer and if one guy only knows BJJ and is way better than me in it, in a cage when i know muay thai i kick push him to fuck and one leg kick to destroy his leg and fuck him. And for take down my wrestling would destroy him. So ya he could chock me to fuck very quickly but if he can't breath, leg is destroyed, and was taken down hard because of my wrestling he is done. He is gassed, too weak, and in too much pain.

Tl;dr.... If you are paying $150 to $200 a month go to all the classes. 2hrs per night is not that hard. I do fasted cardio in morning, worked out for an hr and half right after work and then 2 hrs of mma immediately after it. Without any drugs or trt or kits... Pretty easy to do after a month. With kits, way easier though lol

They should all have an unlimited classes because most people sign up for it and RARELY use it. So they make more money.

Honestly, just jump into it unless you make an schedule on which day you'll raise it. But its just like people and dieting, you at most likely going to push it back a lot rather than just do it. So just jump in and in a week or two it'll be like nothing. Just make sure to get and use a rumble roller
