metformin inhibits gains from aerobic exercise!?


Obviously we're quite different than the tested subjects as we're all enhanced to some degree, but nonetheless I found this interesting and would like to hear thoughts perhaps from some others that have taken metformin for any length of time for biohacking purposes.

TLDR

Metformin attenuates the improvement in physiological function after aerobic exercise training​

Metformin abolishes the improvement in mitochondrial respiration after aerobic exercise training​

 
Unrelated but slightly applicable to this topic, beta blockers also reduce the effectiveness of cardio. I remember going to my doc about tremors I’ve been dealing with as a teenager and he prescribed me propranolol (which didn’t help much) and told me that it would greatly reduce the effectiveness of cardio by preventing your heart rate from going up.
