Minimum Nandrolone dose before neurotoxicity

What's it like at that dosage?
No side effects. Lots of fullness noticeable increase in strength. Quite enjoyable.

nandrolone gets a bad rep for lots of water retention. Obviously there will be some as with most other anabolics but I’ve cut and bulked in nandrolone several times and that aspect is more dependent upon diet / carbs / salt / cardio than nandrolone itself. However keep in mind I do use lower dosages. Perhaps at 600 mg a week things to get pretty watery no matter what.

On "modified keto" - very low carb / high protein - i have no issues.

I know, sounds like a dumb BB diet.

Whatever…been working for me too

How's that for a easy easy eating plan...?

Weird. I get it.

Not really. My diet was shit for a long time. My Step one was eliminating processed foods (usually dinner sides) and replacing with more vegetables and meat. Step two was opting for leaner cuts of meat and better veggies (beets/kale). Unintended but wonderful side effect, satiated with reduced portion sizes. I’m slowly cutting down on my breads and pasta but man it’s hard. I love food.

In truth I’m slowly working towards a similar “goal” diet. My experience with atkins, circa 2003?, was ketosis for like 2-3 months then start slamming carbs. Never titrated up and found a carb balance. As I’ve aged diet has become more critical. Excercise is not the work around it was in the past.

I appreciate you sharing.

I will level with you. I can eat what I eat and keep sub 12% pretty easy.

Have a challenged myself to go back to trad. BB diet and see if I can do better? Nope. Would be alot harder mentally for me.

Eating protein and fat simple.

Add in carbs, hold on tight! Cravings galore.

Layman’s terms is so much more palatable. It’s easy for me to get discouraged with technical jargon but his break down makes it doable.

Pretty good overview.
So in this pretty good overview, the memory function impairment in rats was linked to androgen receptors in the hippocampus.

"This region displays a relatively high density of androgen receptors in rats, which suggests a relationship between the androgen receptor and cognitive function."

Is there any reason to think that humans have a relatively high density of androgen receptors in the limbic brain or hippocampus? They seem to be noting this a distinguishing feature of the rat brain.

So I went to the study that was cited in the overview.

"The hippocampus, a brain region associated with cognitive function, was analyzed for mRNA expression of prodynorphin, the precursor of dynorphinergic peptides. The results indicated that the transcription levels of prodynorphin were significantly elevated in the animals treated with nandrolone compared with controls."

Again, is this an issue in humans?

Also, would this have continued after they stopped injecting nandrolone into the rats? Is it permanent?

Also, growth hormone seems to make some improvement in rats, reversing nandrolone's effects and improving spatial memory

And note in that last one that nandrolone caused a weight decrease in rats, which growth hormone was able to attenuate.

Weird.
