Hello gents,
My blood pressure is still on the high side but I think I am a little more calm, cool, and collected about this crap. I have to disagree with a couple of the senior spokesman of this group. You cannot Blame Alex one bit for this. No person in his right mind would give up this kind of money. It just doesn't happen. A-Rod couldn't restructure his contract due to the baseball unions. In 2001 A-Rod came in with intention of helping the Rangers win it all. From two years before they were not the far away. Hicks promised to the fans and A-Rod the money would not stop here and it really didnt. They later signed the biggest free name pitcher on the market and he turned out to be the worst flop in Rangers, and possibly baseball history. From this point on, Hicks did everything to rid himself of every contract possible. I still believe there are money issues in his other business and he needs capital. I just wish the fucker would have sold the team. All this piece of shit is talking about is "flexibility". Well lets see how many big names are signed in the upcoming years.
The bottom line on the A-Rod deal is that the Rangers paid $140 million for 3 years for his services. The Yankees payed for 7 years $112 million. Makes no fucking sense!
In 2000 the Mavericks had a terrible owner before being sold to Mark Cuban. Jerry Jones was still ruining the Cowboys and Tom Hicks was the best owner in town, sparing no expense to get the best players in here for the Rangers and Stars. Three years later the owners of this town did a complete 180. Hicks is by far the worst owner here, Cuban is great and Jones finally got his head on straight.
Have a nice day

thick said:Gotta disagree with the good FUCKROD comments. He thought he was good enough to carry a team. He signed a contract that has really hurt the game of baseball and deserved to be stuck on a losing team. The rangers had no chance of getting enough good players b/c of the amount they spent on him. It is both of their faults. The yankees bailed Arod out. After they named him captain of the team even. It really is pathetic how Hicks, Arod and boras handled the whole thing. Bunch of backstabbing fuckwits and the cocksucking yankees come out smelling like a rose. I think they just dug their own grave this time b/c so many people are getting sick of them that new rules will surely be put into place. edit: I hate Karl Malone but he is one of the few pro athletes that actually backed up his mouth. They all say how important winning is but than demand so much money that winning isn't possible. Well he took several million less to have a chance at a championship. I was impressed with that
