My attemp to Restart after 7 years of trt

Good luck dude. I hope it all works out for you.

Just an FYI... - I am 41 and have 5 kids - your test levels are really gonna hit bottom once you have kids. This is from what I have read. ODnt know how much merit there is to it. But after you have your amount of kids and you are done, maybe think about TRT again? I wish I would have when my kids were younger. I feel I could have been more active and had more energy and time with them...

I doubt there are any physical evidence that having kids causes a decline in test level. All you are doing is excreting semen to make a kid, same as masturbating, how could that lower test level? But we have one kid from when I came off test for a year, it took that long, but that was without any clomid or hcg. So we will see how it works this time, thanks for the comments.

maybe it has more to do with the situation of parenting, being around a female that has kids, the pheromones she emits, the psychology of the situation, etc.... many variables to consider that are different than "just masturbating"

Check this out -
Fathers may not want to hear that their testosterone levels are dropping, but new research bears that out, finding that the male hormone plummets in men after they have children — most dramatically in dads who really involve themselves in the nitty-gritty of child rearing.

google father have low testosterone.....

I knew it felt like my kids were sucking the life out of me! Just kidding but this is interesting.

So the long and the short of this is I should try to be less involved with my kids?

No. You don't want to be less involved with your kids. Could be this has something to do with different types of stress and anxiety you have when raising kids. Just a guess.

I would tend to agree with the last post. The only reason having kids could lower test is stress, anxiety or the fact that the more u have generally the older u are getting with each one.

"...The only reason....

you might be right here, or you might be completely wrong, but one thing I'm seeing is you need to open your mind to the possibility that their are possibilities you might not understand or have even considered, and this goes for everything, not just this situation..... we limit ourselves scientifically a whole lot the moment we start to use words like "the only reason could possibly be..."

Its been almost 3 weeks since my last test shot of 8mgs due to my taper, Ive been on 500ius of hcg 3x a week since then, libido has picked up good this week, so I suppose hcg may be working. Saturday is my last dose of hcg then 3 days off and then onto clomid as follows
Week 1: Day 1-3 50mgs, then 25mgs the rest
Weeks 2-10 25mgs ed
Weeks 11-13 25mgs eod
Weeks 14-16 12.5 mgs eod
Weeks 17 12.5mgs 2x and then stop

Labs will be performed around week 4 of clomid and then again 6 weeks post restart completion.

Well first off, as far as how I feel, I have not had a morning erection in 10 days, very hard to get erection, no interest in sex, fatigue......
Lab results came back and are not good but Im not sure if I have given it enough time
Total test 82
LH 1.4
Fsh 1.7

Not funny. In the case of a failed SERM/AI challenge (assuming a successful hCG challenge), one could go to a GnRH challenge (carefully).

First question is what do you mean by not funny? Second based on my protocol and my lab results do you think I have any chance of a successful restart if I continue to the clomid for another month or so?

Someone please help.

not sure anyone has any certain answers, some might say "give it time and see what happens"

I gave my statement a long while back when I said that going off of trt for nearly a decade was one of my biggest mistakes in life and if I could turn back time I wouldn't do it that way again

Im starting to think this is a mistake as well. I was off trt from October last year until feb of this year, I took clomid for 3 months and after clomid cleared my system my total test was 196 in am. I don't think this level is healthy long term. Im only 28 and can not imagine having low test for the rest of my life.
