Go ahead and post your stats (how much you weigh, height, etc) and someone will get back to you. My name is Toby and I just work here. Whatever I say is wrong so I won't try and help, but if you post your stats, the only 3 or 4 guys that get to talk around here will get back to you shortly. If not, then I'll e-mail you and do it myself.

E-mail please?

I understand your frustratoin Victor, but it's not meant in that way. It's not that your ways don't work, you say they've worked for you so they must, it's just that when you post something, someone else who happens to know a 'better way' reads it then proposes their thoughts. These people who do this don't propose these better ways talking out their ass, they can back up everything they say. I'm in the same boat as you, I post something, and someone always has a better solution.. guys like Bob Smith, AnimalMass, Freddy, Grizzly, and Madcow are full of knowledge that they can back up, and yes, they usually have a better solution than most of us to someone's issues. If I even so much as offer advice, I just mention that it's all IMO (in my opinion).. if you don't mention that it's in your opinion or that it is what has worked for you, maybe sometimes people take it as you thinking that your ways ARE the way.. which may be the reason for a few of your battles on here.. Just thought i'd share my imput :D

No dude, you're not! Seriously, I'd like to help. That's what this site is here for. For people who need some advice. E-mail me your weight and how long you been working out, and I'll hook you up buddy.

lol...dude its not your fault...

as for whos right and whos wrong...EVERYBODY...has a different body...and different genetics...

some things work better then others...thats just life...

nobody is ever truly wrong if it has ever worked...im a student in athletic training (yes student)...while i dont pretend to know everything...i do know somethings...

every athlete here at my school is on a personalized routine...based on their diet, previous accompolishments, and future goals...

so whatever u hear from anyone...take it...give it a fair try..and if it dont work for u then move on to the next suggestion...

That's the best thing I've heard on this board yet...thank you

Why do you suggest that he e-mail you? Doesn't that diminish the value of a public forum where people can share knowledge openly and free of charge?

However, to the person who asked the question, you really need to post more info such as what you normally eat, height, weight, etc. for us to help more. It is impossible to give someone a perfect program, but with more info better suggestions can be made.

ok, sorry, here are more details about me

my names Steve im 22 from London and i need some help off you guys.

Im 5"8 (173cm) and have been an athlete all my life but have never really needed to lift weights and increase my size as i am a footballer (soccer to you lot!) and most of the work i need to do is CV and endurence, speed etc with only a little bit of strength training for the position and style i play anyway.

Now i have pretty much given up football as my career went downhill and it is almost certain i will not be a pro again and am just playing local leagues now.

So, about 8 months ago i decided to start working out and make myslef bigger, i was about 9 1/2 stone (60kg's - 133lbs) when i started and have put on about a stone to 10 1/2 (67kg's - 147lbs) and am looking toned all over. I have been using Creatine tablets which are pure Creatine Monohydrate and also Instant Whey Protein Shakes.

Im looking to get a lot bigger but at the same time keep my defination and my ideal look would be a 100m sprinter and i know with some hard work i could achieve this as i am very athletic but i would just like a helping hand to boost my training. Any advice you can give me would be quality.

Cheers Lads

Steve

If your goal is to look like a 100m sprinter, then you might want to train like a 100m sprinter. ;) What good does it do to train like a bodybuilder if you want to look like a sprinter?

As far as your diet goes, you listed creatine and whey. Ok......... So, like, what are you eating? That's not food. Those are supplements.

OMG. this thread makes me laugh so hard I'm crying.

My names Toby, Kunta, no Toby. I just work here... LOL

If I had known this would start an arguement I wouldn't have bothered...LMAO

you really need to post more info such as what you normally eat, height, weight, etc...

Oh. Okay. my names Steve im 22 from London... LMMFAO. :D

No offense to steve. You just jumped in the middle of a whole bunch of shit.

Fuckin Hilarious.

No he didn't. We're gonna act like adults and give him some help/make suggestions. But Grizz is right, we need some food stats first. But yeah, a sprinter is going to have an obviuosly different physique. I'm not really on par with info in that field...

WVM?, (no offense meant) if you don't like the Mods and tried and true members of Meso you would be better served not visiting/posting on Meso. You will not change it. You are only opening yourself up to be flamed constantly and blackballed by everyone here. Stop being such a whiney little bitch, don't ever say "We're gonna act like adults" (Grizz is only 13, so he doesn't have to), and change your handle so you can come back to Meso with a better attitude and make some friends.

Chapsquez, I didn't mean to get off on a tangent and high jack your thread. You've come to the right place in Meso for sound advice on training, diet, AAS, etc. Meso is one of the few boards on the net that don't respond to every question with answers like, "just add more juice" or "allow at least 800 calories/day for beer while on cycle". Contrary to what some people would have you believe, most of us at Meso are proud to take lifting/training seriously, and we advocate the responsible use of AAS. You would be smart to let the advice of a Mod or respected member here weigh heavy in your decisions concerning diet, training, supplements, and steroid use. However, don't listen to anything Grizz says about politics or religion. :P

I agree Beef. 800 calories a day isn't near enough for beer. and you should DEFINITELY NOT listen to anything Grizz says about religion or politics. :D

FINALLY, someone has said it! :D

sorry guys but with all the bitching we sort of missed off the subject and i think hes got bored and cant be botherd to post his diet. The first thing i cna say to him is stop using creatine pills and use the powder thats the only advice i can give to him my self with what he gave us. The pills i think are poor and expensive to creatine powder especially if they are that holland and barret crap.Steve the best thing to do is post what you eat now on average day what your goal is like what sort of weight you would like to be maybe a good start . To look like a sprinter you still have to get strong Linford Chrsitee i read somewhere squatted with shit load iof weight for reps.

Right then ladies if you've all stoped bickering i will show you how poor my diet really is! Not sure if i said before but i dont do any roids at the moment and never have done, maybe in the future.

I know this is not good and im not interested in people responding telling me how stupid i am and 'whats the point in training' and all that bollox cos i know its no good and thats why im here, to get input from people who know what they are talking about. Remember i cant eat fish!

Right;

Breakfast;
Protein Shake
Banana or 2 or Bowl of cereal (depending on how late i am)

Mid Morning;
Packet of Crisps or 2
Chocolate bar or 2

Lunch;
Chicken Bagette with lettuce and mayo or 4 Ham & Lettuce sandwiches
Crisps
Chocolate bar

Mid Afternoon;
Banana
Crisps

Dinner;
Usually Meat (Chicken, Beef, Pork etc) with potatoes and 2 kinds of veg
Every sunday have a roast dinner
Once a week have Spaghetti and once a week have a dirty fry up!

Usually eat some shit like chocolate and crisps and sometimes a youghurt or whatever is available! On a workout night i will have a protein shake

Either Friday or Saturday night i hit the town and get hammered and usually go down the pub once or twice in the week. Basically im young and single and party hard after a hard weeks work.

I train with weights 3 or 4 times a week and fit CV work in between. I do train hard and am looking to put on weight as i will be able to convert ths into muscle.

Any help from you guys would be helpful, thanks

Bob Smith is probably going to give you an excellent response to your query. However, in the meantime... I would say you're at least on track with the number of meals. I eat 5 as well, though not a big guy I'm still under 200#.

I would replace the "crisps" and chocolate with something more substantial. Like whole wheat bagels with natural peanut butter. MRP shakes. and the like. When I worked in an office. I would cut up a chicken breast and throw it in some tupperware with a bunch of fresh veggies (spinach and such) and eat that for a snack.

It sounds like you've been eating out of a vending machine for your second and fourth meals. Pack your lunch. You can't eat tuna I guess so substitute chicken breast. cut up 4or5 CB's and 2or3 boiled eggs and some chopped veggies. Throw it in a bowl with some mayo, mustard, and seasonings. mix it up till everythings nice and covered with your seasonings. keep it in the fridge and scoop out a couple of meals worth each morning. or bag it the night before. That''s some calories oooweeee I guaronteeee! (anybody get that impression?) Add meat and milk or eggs or something substantial to every meal. and keep tabs on your weight. If it stops going up. add more food. NOT CRISPS! FOOD. :D

Offense taken. You calling me a bitch and expect me not to take offense? Who attacks who? Who starts shit with who? Who feels they have to talk condescendingly to who b/c their shit doesn't stink? Not me, asshole. I just came here like everybody else.

And whoever said I didn't like the mods and admins???? I have plenty of friends boy...don't need you to be my friend, thanx though.

Bigslick: Oh, you had something to say??? Go ahead. I know it's hard...but slowly take the cock out so you won't choke on it...

This is rediculous. Bunch a fuckin' posers anyway. I'm gone. Enjoy the kissass fest. I'm gonna not be a computer nerd and spend my time wisely. Jesus, I'm having a fucking internet fight! How lame is that!
