My first DNP run w/ log & pics!

Since I can't ever seem to find ANY before/after pics of DNP runs on the net, this will be my log/attempt. I will try to update this thread daily til I'm done.

Stats:
5 foot 9 and approximately? No idea... I haven't been on a scale in 6 months, but I'll let the pictures be the judge for you all. Used to be 240 pounds in 2008, and got down to 210 5 months ago. Been slowly losing ever since by eating right, and moving more. (mix between weights and cardio) Told myself I wouldn't give DNP a whirl until I got my workout & eating regimen down proper.

I know I could lose the rest doing what I'm doing, but this DNP is burning a hole in my pocket, sitting in my cupboard for the past two years, so I figured I'd do a little experiment and post up the results.

Cycle:
As Conciliator has mentioned/suggested, don't plan out your DNP cycle in stone, since it's all about assessing tolerance first. That being said, from personal experience, I'm fairly sensitive to anything new I put in my body, so I will be starting very low.

I have a bag full of two year old, black/yellow capsules @ 150mg crystal a piece. I think this comes out to 112.5mg's of actual DNP. Guy I got them from tossed a anti-moisture packet in there, lol... not sure if that helped keep them fresher or not, haha. (even in a plastic bag, this shit stained the hell out of my cupboard yellow)

So the goal is popping one 150mg cap around 1pm w/ food. I will do this for 4 days and on the 5th day, I'll assess if I want to go higher. Goal is a short 10 day cycle for now w/ hopefully no side effects.

Diet:

I do intermittent fasting, (loosely based around the leangains.com version) which may be dropped if I feel like shit on DNP. But will continue to eat super clean on a 40/40/20 split (carbs/protein/fat) which I may modify, depending on how I feel. Will eat around maintenance or slightly below. (2400-ish is my maintenance) Will keep some apples & bananas around for the fructose, which I read can help with lethargy, if I encounter any. Otherwise I will stick to complex carbs... sugar generally makes me feel like shit.

Diet will consist primarily of lean boneless/skinless chicken breast, Ezekiel sprouted grain & whole grain bread, steel cut oats, tuna, cottage cheese, a lot of salad, almonds, almond butter & almond milk primarily. I'll toss in some fruit as necessary.

Supplements:
Opti-Men multi
Fishoil - 3g's three times day w/ meals
R-ALA - 100mg's three times a day w/ meals
Acetyl-L-Tyrosine - 300mg's once in the morning
Acetyl-L-Carnitine - 500mg's three times a day
Vitamin E - 1000mg's @ night w/ last meal
Vitamin C - 1000mg's time released twice a day
Mega B-Complex - once a day, after first meal
Quercetin - 1000mg's twice a day
Yohimbine HCL - 15mg's first thing in the morning
Might also pickup some Glycerin & Pyruvate, we'll see...
Plenty of water, some V8 on hand, Pedialyte & Benedryl just in case.
Couple tablespoons of Brags Apple Cider Vinegar morning & night to try and maintain a good ph balance... since as I understand it, DNP makes your bodies ph balance tip towards acidic. ACV should help as a good alkalizing agent... (along with all the almonds I consume)

No EC stack... Ephedrine fucks with me bad. Never been able to handle that stuff in the past. Which is why I won't touch Clen. So just coffee & Modafinil for energy. Modafinil also doubles as a great appetite suppressor.

Will take my temperature throughout the day, to make sure everything is fine. Have a blood glucose meter as well, to make sure I don't go hypo. (I'm not a diabetic...)

Plan on hitting the weights, light, 3 times a week, Monday/Wednesday/Friday... undecided on the cardio on alternate days... may leave that out.

Question:
Has anyone taken DNP on a empty stomach? What was your experience?

It's good to see your not having horrible sides man! I just got some stuff from D and started my cycle on Friday night. Last night when I went to sleep I was out of breathe when I went to bed- huffing and puffing while just lying down- weird. Today which is only day 3, I am roasting- mostly my head is hot though, and I'm a little sluggish. I would deff. venture to say that D still has some great stuff! Congrats on the workout- I hope your able to keep the energy level's up!

I suspect my stuff is very weak tho... it's been sitting for like two years. I should be having more side effects... not having any makes me suspicious, lol... or my body just tolerates it very well.
 
Day 7

Nothing new to report... lethargy is there a bit, but temperature is rock solid, no heat, no pissing neon...

I feel leaner, but who knows...

Still on two 150mg crystal caps, will bump to three tomorrow.
 
Day 8:

Feeling really lethargic this morning and I look flushed as fuck... I also couldn't muster the energy for a workout last night. So something is going on. Temperature this A.M. still rock solid tho and still no sweating or pissing neon. I look and feel a lot leaner, but could be in my head...

I suppose only the pictures will tell @ the end of my cycle and I'll also try to take pics on the last day, then a week later, to compensate for water loss.

Will try to workout tonight, but good lord I feel tired... thinking of stretching this cycle out to 14 days from 10. Probably no longer then that tho...
 
been reading ur log.. sounds like its working :)
do you work at an office? im jus scared that once i start my cycle, the breath n sweats might fuck with my professional life ..even if im workin as a student =/
so ur planning to go till day 14 with 225x2 Actual dnp?

Yeah, work in an office, but it's my company... so it's no biggy. I have my own AC unit as well if I want to crank it. 14 days is planned... dosage is below.

Day 8 Update -

I bumped it up to 3 caps today, so that is about 337mg of actual DNP and I will have to say, today is the first day I feel hot and I've started to sweat. Actually feels kinda nice, LOL... labored breathing is slightly there, but barely.

Temp is about 99.5, so once my body adjusts it should go back down... if not I'll back off the dose.

Gonna try eating a apple here in a bit and see if it fans the flames, lol... (actually excited to have some sides now...)

Cravings for something sweet is through the roof atm... water retention definitely noticeable. I feel like I am carrying a spare tire of water around my waist.

Day 8 Update 2 -

Temperature spiked up to 99.9 at one point... it's back down now to 99.3 tho. Seems I've found my upper limit.

I'm going back to only two capsules a day... no sense in pushing it.
 
you're still alive, so thats good. hah.

good call on dropping back to two caps. you know its working now.

Haha yeah... wasn't really worried or anything. But I was hoping this would happen, so I can kinda get a feel for my upper limit...

I might even try instead of 3 capsules all at once... do my normal two and another one 8 hours later. We'll see tho...
 
Day 9

Back down to two capsules @ once... may take a third again, but space it out. Not sure yet.

Temperature is fine... rock solid between 97-98...

Lethargy is ungodly now. Hard to even wanna stand up and walk across the room. Breathing is fine, no sweating or heat for the most part.

Also, water bloat is through the roof... looks like I put on 10lbs in the last three days, lol

Blood Glucose is fine... steady between 80-90.

Still around 2k calories per day and close to a 40/40/20 split.
 
Day 9 Update -

OMG I feel like I just ran a Iron Man marathon, then was stomped on by elephants... man this lethargy is brutal!

Fruit isn't puttin' a dent in it, and I can't take EC... o'well. I'll just suck it up, haha...
 
Why can't you take EC? Thats the only thing getting me through the lethargy now! I was down 2lbs yesterday am, and then another .5lbs. this am (def noticing the bloat as of today too). I upped my dose to 2 yesterday (1 in am, 1 at lunch) we just started spring weather here- I'm wearing shorts and sweating already in the am when it's in the fifties- it's 72 in my office right now and I'm soaked- everyone thinks I have a fever lol. Can you try coffee or anything for energy? Hope you can atleast use something man!

I've tried Ephedrine over the years and every time it gives me heart palpitations, even in minor doses... I've been checked out by the doctors many times and there's nothing wrong with my heart.

Just doesn't agree with me. Which is odd, since I can tolerate stims very very well generally. But not ephedrine or it's derivatives. Always messes with me... so I've put it to pasture.

But yeah, I've been poppin' caffeine pills and drinking coffee. (all tho I'm going easy on coffee, since it's a mild diuretic) Going to give pure 1,3-Dimethylamylamine a go here tomorrow when I get my shipment.
 
Day 10

IIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ALLLLLLLLLLLIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE

Well, my 1,3 supplement won't come in until Monday, so I did the next best thing and took a half a scoop of my Hemo Rage Black Ultra Concentrate, which has 1,3 in it, all tho in unknown quantities.

I feel like someone just injected adrenaline into me... I can't sit still and any remnants of lethargy are gone.

It has caffeine in it as well, but I've been poppin' caffeine pills like pez and they have no affect on the lethargy, so I doubt that has anything to do with it... and any of the other ingredients in this wouldn't give me energy either. So I'm pretty sure it's the 1,3... either way, it feels good.

I can't take/handle EC, so this feels like a good alternative in the mean time.

Plan on running DNP until Sunday, maybe Monday @ the most. I miss my workouts and I have a lady friend that I'll be hanging with the 2nd weekend in April, so I wanna give myself a good week to workout, get rid of the bloat and feel 100% again.

Something I never mentioned in the first day, I do use calipers often, but I know they aren't very accurate. But a few days before I started DNP, it tested me around 14/15% body fat. Today it puts me @ 11/12%

All tho I don't think I'm that low, the calipers still test my body fat lower then before. So progress? I'll take it...

Day 10 Update -

So energy levels slowly diminished throughout the day, but NOTHING like previous days... took another half a scoop and perked right back up like a raging animal.

Something else I noticed with 1,3... it KILLS my appetite, dead in its tracks.

Seems to have a lot similar effects to Ephedrine for sure. Really diggin' it.

Took two capsules @ 1pm again. Temperature is rock solid... 98.5, blood glucose stable @ 89.

Day 11 -

Decided to eat a banana, then pop a single capsule right before bed last night, around 10pm... and good lord, I finally got the full brunt of the infamous 'night sweats'... it was like I was sleeping in lava, lol. Temperature was always rock solid when I woke up to drink some water, all tho a tad elevated around 99.0. Dual cyclone fans kept me relatively comfortable through the night...

But things are definitely heating up as I wrap up this cycle. I 'feel' small, if that makes sense. Leaner yes, but muscles are also flat as hell. Really lookin' forward to a post DNP carb up...

Today has me nervous... a employee of mine is bringing in cupcakes for her Bday. I'm sure that'll be like pouring fire into my body, haha
 
Day 11 Update -

Temperature still stable, blood glucose normal. Had to skip the cupcake, there's just no way I could handle it atm... plus believe it or not, I don't crave carbs @ all, nor have I for the most part, while on DNP, so it was easy to say no.

But I had a orange earlier and it about set me on fire... a cupcake would probably make me breathe lava, lol...
 
Do you notice the heat from DNP to be more "dry" compared to regular sweating? Stuff like Ephedrine and 1,3 give me regular sweats but DNP seems to cause tremendous heat in my back. It feels like standing next to an open oven. 1,3 doesn't seem worth it to me if you use Ephedrine since 1,3 is just the legal alternative.
