neck training

This is a commonly overlooked part of most guys training. 2-3 times a week i bang out sets with my iron mind head harness and i also love putting a plate on my forehead for some front neck work. Nothing says beast quite like a thick ass muscular neck. I can't get enough, anybody out there fans?

Personally I've never worked my neck but the topic reminds me of a gym I used to go to though.

There was, well, a neck machine that this one guy would always use. He would sit on the thing for like a half hour and make all of these crazy grunting noises as he did his reps. It would always crack me and my bro up.

My pitbull's neck is as thick as his waist. I'm quite envious of him... He's 2 years old, 75lbs, and can pull me around like I'm weightless. I've been lifting for 7 years and can barely hold him back :( disheartening at times.
I've been wanting to include neck training, but always forget of it or brush it off. Was going to lie on a bench with my head off the edge and put a plate on my forehead and curl, as well as each side of my neck. I saw one guy using the lying hamstring curl machine for this... creative, but it looked like he was suckin' dicks for beer money, and I vowed never to do that.

I suppose even putting a weighted dip/pullup belt around the back of your head and doing nods like that to help thicken up the back part of your next. I will have to give that a shot.
