Need advice on ventro gluteal injection location

What I usually do is flex, and where the striations in my glute are and it goes in, that's where I'd say to go for.
Striations in your glutes? Not on mine lol, only place I have them is on my shoulders. Wouldn't that be for dorsa gluteal shots though?
 
True, I guess I'm going a little south, in that more horizontal green area.

And yeah, for some reason I have striated glutes even when I'm around 12%. Lol

As I posted elsewhere, this is a great site....BUT.....caveat emptor, the first time you hit it, it will most likely be extremely sore and make it difficult to walk for a bit. I'm bringing that up for all newbies as you should NOT let that scare you away. The next depot is EXPONENTIALLY less sore and it won't take more than a couple depots to negate almost any PIP from such a site admin.

Don't want to see you guys say F it, that hurts, when only one depot was done. Thus missing out on a site for which the absorption rate has been shown to be among the highest you can use.
 
Agree with @Test_Subject. Lift leg to the side and the muscle will get firm, a little front of center. Did my first Ventro injection yesterday and was easy. Did it in the morning and was fine all day, around 7:00 pm that bitch got crazy sore, thinking oh shit, I’m not going to be able to walk tomorrow. My wife got me an ice pack and two ibuprofen and when I woke up today it’s fine....little sore but nothing bad at all. Glad I tried it!!
 
I do them in a relaxed siting position. Be on a hard flat surface. This makes it easy to find and easy to hit. It's my favorite sport to self inject. Never pip, and can take 2cc 3 gives some discomfort.

Ventro glute throws mme off too. I just stick to quads. I can at least see those. Lol
Yeah, I currently only do quads. I need to start using others spots though. I can't reach my glutes and delts are a weird angle. I heard calves are painful but was thinking about it

Calves.....I'll just say that you've got about a 98% chance of severe pain for 5 days from that. You've been warned, but do as you will. As for others....there are TOO many. the key is to keep volume per site low. No pain, no leakback into SQ tissue causing lumps, and better absorption. It's a no brainer.

Ever try lats? Sounds horrific, but one of my new favorite spots. Easy to reach and can load up a large volume.

Holy shit im in this exact same situation, every time I pin shoulders its fucking trouble, so I just do quads...
