Okay, I have A savage Arms corporation .410 gauge Stevens Model 940A That belonged to my Grandfather..I have tried but I can't find any info...

Does anyone know anything about this model? Like when it was manufactured...Is it possible to get parts if I need them?

I tried to contact savage arms inc. http://www.savagearms.com/cs_historical.htm but they say they have no information on this model available... If any of you know anything about this model I would appreciate it..
