Need help with brew questions

The reason I asked you which model filter you were using was to see if their funnel portions are made from polystyrene. I have warned others before that it seems like these type filters break down and the solution becomes cloudy since polystyrene is now solubilized in it. You can tell if your filter funnel is breaking down because it will become sticky to the touch after filtering. Some people were having trouble with this while others didn’t seem to. I know that I was using mct when I figured out what was going on and am curious if other carrier oils breakdown the polystyrene as well.
Right on boss I appreciate the heads up I'll check the material list on the site n check the filters next time I brew...that's crazy info but thanks again

GPZ medical supplies. Med Lab supply. I personally use the ones from GPZ. Although any pvdf filter is fine.

I don't know there are too many variables. I will say I have never had any issues with any brew I have made and this is what I do. I usually only order enough raw for what I'm going to make so I just put it in a beaker. I calculate my ba and bb according to basskiller and put that in the beaker. I put the beaker in a shallow pot and heat between 100-150f using a meat thermometer. I stir with a glass stir rod until the solution is completely pure. I usually put a bright through and I expect not to see any raws or anything that suggests it's not in solution. I take it off heat and add oil then put it back on the heat until the swirls are gone from the oil being a different temp than the solution. I do all my measurements with syringes I do not use the graduation on the beaker. I filter into presealed sterilized vials. I use low ba and bb because it's less painful this way. .8,% ba and 10+% bb

What’s up buddy. How ya been. I’m not sure if you meant to ask me that but I use millipore pvdf .22 filter and safflower oil.
Hey bud. I was referring that question to @Dgod because I’m curious to see if all carrier oils melt the polystyrene funnels on bottle top filter or if it’s just the mct and it’s related carriers that do it

Edit: If all of the carriers cause melting of the polystyrene, it may be the bb that’s the culprit. I’ve never used anything but mct so I don’t have the results of the other carrier oils.

I use the Autofil PP nylon bottle top filters. They don’t come sterile but I do something that seems to take care of that and so far its all worked fine. Pm me if you’re interested in what I do because I’d rather not post it in the open due to some members looking for anything to flame and I prefer not to get in back and forths with trolls
