Need Help

I need advice on how to gain either from roids or changing my workout. I am 5'11" 205 and I work out 6 days a week and run about 10 miles a week. I am in the military so I miss a day every now and then, and sometimes run more than 10 miles. There is no getting around the running and I know this burns muscle. I need help I am getting frustrated I don't know what to do should I try roids which I have never done and don't have the first clue on how to start or should I try a different workout.

Thanks

It's hard to make alot of gains in the military because of both lack of access to food and ALOT of cardio. I know (Marine Corps infantry ;) ). Running does not "eat" muscle so long as you increase your caloric intake to be much higher than what you burn doing your running. I'm positive you're not eating not nearly enough. You don't need to touch any gear cause they won't do anything for you if you're overtraining and not eating enough. I'm sure all the steroid guru's here could tell you that. Plus, you run the risk of being caught. Yes, the military doesn't test for it, but they certainly will if they suspect you.

-What kind of program has you lifting 6 days a week? Hopefully low volume because of all that running.
-What's your diet like? 80% of gains come from diet, not training.

Your right roids is probably not the way to go and it is hard to eat right. I have been in Iraq for the last 9 months and the selection of food isn't the best. I know they wont test for roids unless they suspect something, I just don't know how fast it makes you grow will someone be able to tell? My work out is back and bis, chest and tris, and legs and shoulders twice a week with sunday off if everything goes the way I plan but you know being in the military it don't always happen. I do about 4 or 5 different exercises 3 or 4 sets for each muscle group. As far as I know I have tried everything from eating more to lifting heavy to lifting light and I am stuck. I wont stop going to the gym but it is hard to get pumped if I don't see anything.

THANKS

Oh yeah I am a heavy smoker I know this don't help but could this be a reason for getting stuck.
Nope, what you're doing is trying to stuff a rediculous amount of volume for each muscle twice a week. I read your other post saying you're in the gym for 2 hours. Any program having you do that is terrible! So, since you're in Iraq, don't get hell bent on getting swole. For the natural trainee the answer is not likely. Smoking and dipping like when I was over there does take away some of your endurance capacity. But the lack of food is what's doing you in. Think about it like this: You probably eat enough food (calories, proteins, carbs) to sustain you for an (semi) intense 30 minute workout session at best. That is the power of food. You're in there slaving away for hours on end, burning non existant calories. To top that off, training is catabolic. This means after 45-60 minutes (if you're eatin right), your muscles will eat themselves for energy. In your case, 30-45 minutes because of the lack of food. Unfortunately for you, taking steroids will only increase the need to eat more of the right things. The best thing for you to do is to do a program like the ones in the sticky's such as 5x5. Trying to do a high volume workout 6 days a week 2 hours a day is the most counterproductive thing you could do. Be honest...Half of your workout is isolations, right?
