Well..... as others have mentioned you have been given some pretty solid advice, it is up to you to follow it.
With that being said.....Why don't you try for a few months to increase your calories, to around 3500 - 4000. By the addition of quality foods. I mean at this point what do you have to lose?? You can always go back to eating like a bikini competitor later on if ya want.
I can guarantee you that even if this gear is bunk (as you say), just the caloric increase will give you results. Why are you so scared to get a blood test done?? Maybe that would prove you are at fault?
