No topic, tangents welcome, go nuts

Got my cpap machine today.

Wife said I've been snoring like a chainsaw and gasping for air.

Don't feel rested anymore, very low energy, not recovering as well.

Did the test at home, had severe sleep apnea.

Trying it tonight, hope it's a game changa

It can be worse sleep for awhile until you get used to it. You may have to try several different masks before you find what works for you as well. Once you find a mask that fits properly and you start to get used to the feeling of it, your sleep will probably get way better though.

When I started the first two weeks were horrendous. The worst sleep of my life. I had to find the right mask as well. After a month or so it was significantly better and after a few months I didn't even notice. Now that I'm used to it, my sleep is so much better than before and I just feel so much better everyday. It's shocking how crappy I felt before fixing this problem, but I just didn't realize how bad I was feeling.

Stick with it even if it's rough at first. Hopefully it won't be too bad, but if it is just stick to it and know that once you sort out the kinks it will get better with time.

My CPAP has been a lifesaver. There are some smaller positive side effects that I’ve noticed that don’t get discussed often. Like not having to wake up to drink water once an hour due to my completely dried out deep snore mouth. I was reminded how annoying that was when I went camping in the desert this weekend without my CPAP.

Got my first appointment to do a sleep study as well next week, breathing through the nose has always been awful so hearing the CPAP experiences makes me excited if something like that could fix mine too

My dog has had terrible gas for the past 2 months. Some of the worst gas I’ve had to endure in my life. If I could bottle it it and attach it to this thread I would. But I can’t, so how do I make it stop?
I’m dealing with this too from my dog. But it’s been for years now. She will flat clear a fuckin room. My children and I have been terrorized by the family poodle’s ass in such a way that I am confident my children will have PTSD. Looking back and reflecting upon their childhood, this will be their trauma. And that makes me happy, that it’s only that. But it’s seriously unbelievably bad.

Try this: I’ve found that high fat content in the food id always bought her was making it worse. I switched her to the lowest fat canned foods I could find and she still has the occasional room clearing fart but it’s so much better.

Like it was to the point of thinking about going and staying with my mother to get away from her haha I was feeding her food that had a fat content of like 20-something% and the canned food I give her now is like 3.5%. And then I drizzle olive oil over it. Might give a low fat diet a try, it’s helped us

I feel like I need a career change. I want to keep my equipment and do what I currently do as a side job because it’s an easy way to make a couple grand in 3-4 hours but it’s seasonal and taxes my body. But I’m looking for alternative streams of income now.

Probably gonna get married within 2 years and we want to live very rurally. So I am looking for something I can earn good money without being in a densely populated area. I do currently own land that is good for growing stuff and raising animals but haven’t really found a way to make it significantly profitable yet.
