NUTROPIN AQ... probs... :-(

Well Bros... its a sad day at the Tank Residence... I just got a minifridge to keep a bunch of Growth Hormone Products Cool... The ones I had a problem with recently were the 8 vials of Nutropin AQ that I had sitting in there. The problem is that the fridge was relitivley warm for the first week so i had the cold setting at max... I went in today to grab some water i had chilling in there and the water was frozen... i Freaked out and got out the Nutropin AQ... luckly only 3 of the 8 had frozen. I removed them from the Fridge and warmed them up slowly using my bodyheat (holdling them in my hands and against my biceps) Once semi liquid again I swirled them around untill they were totaly liquid. I then turned down the cold setting to a more appropriate level.

After all this had passed I called up Genentech's quality controll Number and they told me that if NUTROPIN AQ ever gets frozen that it is unstable and can not be used... Im guessing that the Amino acid was just destroyed or somthing like that...

My question is: Once it has been frozen (It was only frozen for 24 hours... 48 tops) is it 100% innefective? or is it just downgraded some... like 50% effective and 50% nil...?

Basicly I just want to know if I can use it still (even though it may be degraded) or if I am just out a lot of money.

What do you bro's think? Hogg, if you see this please reply... your opinion is always apreciated :)

Thanks guys,

I'm not Hogg, but I'll throw in my opinion.
Use it. I wouldn't have thawed them until i wanted to use them, but it's too late for that. it's the actual cycles of freezing/thawing that are detrimental. Once frozen, zero degradation is occurring, although there may have been structural damage to some of the molecules DURING the frezing. It's common practice to freeze peptides in solution for preservation. Many times it's the lesser of two evils. I would certainly use it, although the activity may be slightly reduced, you'll know in a hurry to what extent just by the effects/sides that you've come to expect with GH.
The "fragility" of both GH and IGF-1 are way overdramatized.

Thanks bro,

I see what you mean... I only thawed it because I thought that once frozen it was damaged... what you say makes a lot of sense... kinda like the yearly freezing that happens in some cities where the roads and bridges slowly over time ... over many freezes and thaws... are cracked or broken...

Does anyone else have an opinion... I didnt just want hogg to reply.. I was just saying that if he happened to come by this thread to drop his opinion on me... thanks guys
