Official bug thread for new MESO forum

I discovered ignoring someone also cuts out any post that quotes the one I'm ignoring. Best new feature yet!

since the forum is now secured with HTTPS /SSL, embedded media must also be HTTPS. I think many image sharing services offer this option. Of course, you could just upload it directly here too.

We're searching for a way that will automatically embed HTTPS version of URL to make it as easy and convenient as possible.
FIXED: All embedded content secured via image proxying.

We've eliminated mixed content warnings via image proxying. All forum pages are now 100% SSL-secure!

You can now use your choice of image sharing service to insert/embed images. Of course, you can also upload as attachments on MESO servers too.

I am still having problems with PDF attachments. Also, I believe that the forum is not displaying properly. It is very white and very bright (hard on the eyes) and the "New" badges on new messages appear to be floating out to the right. Graphically, the "New" badges seem like they are supposed to hook into something. but they are floating in white space. I seem to remember occasionally seeing post counts since the update, but I have not seen any in a while.

The interface looks pretty minimalist. I am not sure how else to elaborate. There appears to be a kind of background for each post that seems to be missing. It is heavily implied by the design and it definitely feels wrong without it. Maybe that is not the case. Can someone post a screenshot of what the new layout is supposed to look like?

You are not the only one to say that the post layout needs to be improved.

@CensoredBoardsSuck offered similar feedback and suggestions in another thread that you can see below:

I like it!

Two more suggestions:

1) Enlarge the avatar and make the time of the post and the quote and like icons more prominent. Also, move the time and post number to the top.

2) Add a boundary around the each post. Something like this:

I think I like this one better. I'm not much good with using paint or designing websites but I think you'll get the idea.

I will soon have the template/style modified per the feedback.

This is what the website should currently look like on mobile and desktop:

I am still having problems with PDF attachments.

PROBLEM: PDF attachments

Can you please provide explicit details about the problem with PDF attachments. A few people have reported such but I am unable to replicate it and no one is providing details. Thanks.

Since there's room for it, I wouldn't mind seeing member stats in the post header: join date, number of posts. I'm name challenged, and often confuse a new member with someone that's been around for a while.

Yes, we will definitely do something about that extra space to fill it with something useful.

@flenser I appreciate your patience while we fixed the attachment issues. I -- and I'm sure everyone else here - appreciates the time you've devoted to helping everyone out with the labmax results. There is no way I would allow that data to be lost :)

Heh, thanks. Labmax sure has changed the way we think about and judge sources. I wasn't too concerned, though. I knew you wouldn't let that stuff get lost.

Hi Millard, this may have been answered, apologies if so. I can see the social groups section, but can't see hoe to start a group. Is this ready to go?

Well, that would clearly explain why no on has started a new group! I will investigate.

Thanks there is now a tab to create groups. I started a group and I note that you can see the group once you click on the social groups section, but not from the main forum page. Is this how it should be?

No. Let me figure out how to set the appropriate permissions.

I believe the new social groups are ready to go! Please check and confirm the following:

(1) only registered members can access the social forum

(2) any registered member can create a social group

(3) new social groups will be private by default: registered members will not be able to view content until they have applied and have been accepted to the social group by the social group creator and/or moderator.

(4) social group creators can change the privacy settings on the social group: some social group creators may want ALL registered members to be able to view the contents of the forum; additional social group creators may want to add moderators, etc.

(5) currently, registered members are permitted to view ALL social forum members. (This is subject to change. Let me know if you want to restrict this. Sometime it's good to know who belongs to a group before you join. But also, sometimes it's good that no one knows what group you belong to.)

Multiquotes are not working.

I think you have to click "Insert Quotes" to finalize the multi quote selections. Maybe it would be kinda easier to just have them added to the comment directly? Or maybe change the wording of "Message added to Multi-Quote" because that sounds a bit like it's already been done for you without further action

Oh, okay. It worked. Thanks, Noah.

Multiquotes are not working.

I'm not real sure where this should go but I figured this thread is along similar lines.

I do a lot of searching through the different forums and threads, it would be really helpful if I could search three letter words.
A lot of AAS related terms have three letter abbreviations we all use like: HGH, Cyp, DNP, Pip and so on.

Thanks
