i don't fucking get how they act like this is a milstone for gender equality. to me it's more like like the end of femininity. so their hope here is that in the future there will be more 6'3" 200 lb women who can dunk?? yeah that's just about the most feminine thing i can think of, i really want to throw it to a chick who can palm a basketball and bench 400.

I think women try to be better at men's sports because they want to be treated as equals. I think if they were treated more like what they are, our equal counterparts, they would not be inclined to beat us at sports.

I saw the dunk contest.. It was a joke.. There were many other better athletes..but what it came down to was she made her last dunk.. and the other two guys missed theirs.. They had to give it to her by default.
The sad thing is, her dunks were not impressive! I've seen junior HIghSchool boys with better dunks than hers.. basicaly she could get hand above the rim so she was able to dunk the ball..that's it..nothing impressive..
IIRC there have only been 5 games ever in HIGHSCHOOL or COLLEGE where a woman has dunked the ball... Also IIRC it has only happened 3 times in the history of the WNBA...
Bottom line.. if the two boys in the finals hadn't been trying to do something spectacular to beat each other..they would have easily won this comp..
It's frigg'n sad.. This girl only advanced to the finals because she was female.. Everyone was just shaking their heads when she won it..

If she wants to compete against men than it should be expected for her to be as good as them. If every highschooler in the country wore a mask and baggy clothes than she would not even be in the top 1000. let alone the top 3 at a very elite game.How would u feel if your son was the one who didnt get to the finals b/c of the fucking rigging going on?

All of your sentiments are well founded. She was pretty much handed the title this year simply for the fact that she could dunk and she was a girl. One thing you have got to respect is the fact that hey she is only 6'3" now for anyone that is a great ability to jump. Also true on the fenake games that try to top their male opposites. Most do seem to be tame at best but also lets rememeber that most games have additional rules for the females games in order to "compensate" for differences. This is a load though because I know girls that would much rather play by the same rules instead of the watered down ones.

all this women equality shit makes women look even more desperate. The women I know cant stand it and knows how bad it makes them look. Example is Martha burke. Fighting, picketing and causing all sorts of shit to get a female member at augusta. Why would a woman care? They look pathetic doing that. The majority of women could care less about getting a member in. Does it make them look better by getting a member in under these circumstances?
