When did meso start considering a gc/ms done by the source as having any validity?
He's spent some time here, had decent bloods come back and not ripped anyone off.
These are things that any new source could do given a little time. OP just made it though the hazing while most say WTF and go back to reddit.

And gravitate to you for advice and knowledge. I think bosses are necessary to keep things running smoothly , especially in a forum with no real moderators

Moderation can become just as problematic over the mid to long term. Just my anecdotal 2 bits.

Been in lots and lots of forums and only a very few have managed to have active moderator groups without periodic (and often catastrophic) episodes of abuse problems by their moderators.

Seen entire fora die off from mods who started off quite well intentioned but ended up being a much bigger problem than the pre-mod "shitposter syndrome" had been.

Also, I like shitposters.

I'm not convinced that it isn't as good as it can possibly be as it is right now, wouldn't you agree? I have found no place better.
Mind you - i am not even remotely trying to quantify how good or bad things are here. I can't imagine a better place.
Reaching below the line of common sense to protect the incompetent seems like a disastrous idea and delegating members to do so borders dangerous territory.
I don't think i disagree with your sentiment and enthusiasm to improve OGH.

I look at some AAS forums , they are run like prisons , w/ mass guards and mass censorship and selective sourcing . They are horrible places and they treat members like prisoners or peons...

This is the million dollar question right? We go back to this every few months. Just let it ride it ebbs and flows around here. It works I do think the WKM has convoluted some things it only takes a month. As far as is this a source board I know there are different views on this but I think it is pretty clear what Millard like to see what it should be. So take the good with the bad right kind of how a self policing society would look like. Just on a micro scale and the people are on tren.

Since it is the source's desicion I would pm him... addressing the board is a little ridiculous because as far as the admin is concerned nobody should source here.
