Overtraining on cycle?

I agree with all of the above. Not being condescending, its in your head. I think you're so committed your head feels guilty if you don't go. I suggest try it once. Do your full weeks routine. At the end take 5 days off. When you go back and you are stronger than you know it works for you, if not then call bullshit and that's out of the way. You gotta try things to know if they work (within reason). Sometimes its hard to break routine. If that's the case, go to the gym and just stretch or sit in the sauna or do some light cardio. At least you're there and you won't feel as guilty and you stay on your routine (so to speak).
 
The only thing I notice after training for extended periods of time without a day off is fatigue..I lift significantly lighter and with less intensity..that's how I know it's time for me to take a day or 2..I am not sure if this hinders my recovery like people say..I generally take a day off when I feel like it's time too
