P.O. Box vs. Home

What is the difference if the gear you ordered is delivered to a P.O. box or to your home?

To get a P.O. box you have to produce a valid drivers license so they know who rented the box anyway. If it's delivered to your house, well it's obvious that they know who lives there.

Someone straighten me out...seems I'm missing something in all of this.

For starters, you use a fake ID...if you cannot get one, you go to one of the mom & pop mailbox etc type stores...alot of times they wont ask for ID...go to one that has 24 hour access....this way if it is being staked out, there is no way they are going to stake it out 24/7...Pick up your pack around 6:30 am...less conspicuous....Unless you are dealing though, it is usually safe to have it sent to your house as long as you are not getting numerous packages per week...I have had items shipped to my house for years with no problems...the people who usually get caught are the ones who are dealing and someone has tipped the cops off about you, so they watch you and do a controled delivery.

yeah, i know, i was thinking of getting a PO box with a fake ID, but if they want to get you they will get you... then they just have another felony to add on to whatever your being charged with... There really is no way out of getting caught except preventing it and being careful... like Massive said, pick it up early... try and find a place that doesnt ask for ID...

Again, this has been brought up ad nauseum.........do NOT use a fake ID when you set up your PO Box. It is a felony to use a fake ID when you set it up. If you get caught with AAS, your fake ID will only get you into exponentially more trouble. Fake ID = VERY BAD IDEA!!

If you have read legal muscle you will see why using the fake ID will not neccesarily save you.....if they do a controled delivery, once you take the package, they have you.

I use a PO box because I don't want people who know me asking questions about what I am getting.

Usually for the 2nd form of ID they want a utility bill,
The guys who talk about 'mom & pop' places not even asking for drivers liscense or state/military ID are fucking dreaming.
Maybe if the clerk has alzheimer's disease or something but that is about it. It is common though for an indy. mail drop to maybe just ask for 1 ID and and they will photocopy it. People are failing to realize that they are responsible if illegal activity is transpiring and they dont even have any ID (accountability).
Best case scenario is to have someone else open the box-maybe someone who is financially in a bind and pay him to open the box. Then you just pay the box fees.

I look at it like this, 1 if they want u wHether u have a box , weather its in ur name or not they will follow u or ur runner or whoever and sooner or later they will get ur ass. The + to having it sent to str addy is this, if you smart u will have a good source that u know will not send anything registered were u have to sign. This way if they are on to u , they will set u up with a pack u have to sign for, if u order gear and the box comes with a sig required , u dont sign and lay low. Now you know there watching, tring to set u up and so on. If you lay low dont order your cool, if you dont sign they cant really tie u. Anyone can send anything to u. JMO.

Good post and I agree with you. Anyone who uses a fakeID setting up a PO Box is making a HUGE HUGE mistake.

I know its different in the U.S., but here in Canada, I do have a p.o. box, and no I.D. was required to get it.

But I also think home deliveries are a bad idea in that it sort of invites the problem into your house if you're busted.

If you get nailed at the PO, at least there's no one kicking in your door and going through all your stuff.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I've always used PO's for this reason.

And yes, the best way is to find someone who's hard up for cash that'll take delivery for you.

It takes a lot of work to get a fake ID and everything to set up your PO Box, and then if they find out something is wrong or fake they will take whatever is in your mailbox...I would just say have it sent to a friends house who doesn't have any gear or anything bad in their house, that's your best bet.
