I just saw in tracking (domestic) that my package was sent back to sender due to inadequate address. It was being sent to my home address. Has this happened to anyone else here before?

That’s odd. I’d reach out to the source and verify they had everything correct. Also verify on the email you sent him.

i'm just hoping somehow it's accpeted as returned to sender. b/c I looked up on USPS, they open the packages that are 'dead'

he/she messed up, or it wasnt writted legibly , it smuged, or postal carrier was confused somehow.
Did it at least make it close to your town post office? I’ve had packs with the address smudged but my usual mailman was able to figure it out. If it was returned at a main hub I’d assume the address was scuffed up or damaged in transit.

Yes it made 'out for delivery'. of course this is the only packag i know of in my entire life that has been returned to sender. just weird to me esp when this type of sender should know how vital correct address is

If it’s of value they open it. Otherwise if it’s not claimed I believe it gets destroyed.

how is it known the value without opening? xray?
You usually pay insurance if it’s over a certain amount. Too lazy to look at the USPS website but most priority mail is insured for a certain amount. After that amount you can purchase additional insurance. I’m assuming they’ll open packs with high insurance values if they’re not claimed.

Regardless tell dipshit naps to resend it. Multi million dollar company, I’m sure they can take the loss. Best of luck, they’ve been run off this board for shitty business practices.

Im pretty sure theyll resend. They had before when a pkg arrived so late they resent beoflre orig got here 3 minths later
. Im mainly neevous about usps etc kmowing what im trying to get. Like i dont have enough going on right now lol.
I know you said they will open if valued high enough. USPS site says they will open any dead mail to determine who it's for or where it came from.
Other sites say the same. ( I dont mean to contest what you said b/c they may also be true). I'll watch tracking and see what happens.
