PCT advice

I finished my first cycle last Thursday. Weeks 1-12 500 mg test cyp per week, 9-12 40 mg Anavar ED, weeks 9-12 250 mg HCG twice per week. It took some experimenting to get the Adex right so I had a short stretch where my E crashed and I felt like crap, and then a longer period after discontinuing Adex when I had very high E levels with minimal sides until I figured out that .25 mg ED got my E in the right range. No real ball shrinkage. Total T was 4700 ng/dl at 5 weeks. My natty T measured 917ng/dl before cycle, very high for a guy in his 50s.

I'm still planning to take HCG up to the start of PCT but I'm trying to figure the dosage and timing. Should I blast HCG EOD ten days before PCT like some recommend at 2000
mg, or continue the 500 mg per week, or...? Also I was planning to start PCT at three weeks after the end of the cycle but I wonder since my natty level was as high as it was if I should start a bit sooner? I may be able to get a blood test for T levels from my doc, not sure she'll go for it, and I worry about the turn around time from the online lab service I use. Sometimes they're really fast and sometimes not.

I am planning to use Clomid and Nolva for PCT. I will have Aromisin on hand if I blast HCG.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can imagine that PCT is the most important part of a cycle.

HCG is measured in iu not mg.

I always take HCG during cycle up till the last pin of Test E. The pct 21 days later due to the long ester still in my body.

You're doing Test C which is exactly the same as Test E. There is no significant difference. So I would start PCT 21 days after last pin with both nolva and clomid.

I usually get a blood test done on day 14-16 then start PCT on day 21. That way I can calculate how many more days till my test level drops back down to the normal range.

Yes I know it's IU. Wasn't thinking! So you don't recommend any more HCG? I thought that since I didn't use it for the full cycle I could use some more.

Youre gtg with hCG @500iu /wk up to a few days before you begin recovery.

You mean a few days before I start PCT? What is your recommendation for bloodwork timing? My doc approved the bloods so I can go anytime and get results quickly.

Yes.

Blood work should be performed before, during (mid way point) and after (approximately 6wks) The results will provide valuable information for your recovery and next cycle. Make notes and reference them when needed.

The PCT I listed was recommended by the guy who sold me my gear and advised me as a newbie. This poster did the same cycle as I did, minus the 4 weeks of Anavar @ 40 mg ED I did, and questioned if his PCT, clomid @ 50/50/25/25 and nolva @ 40/20/20/20, was sufficient. ( I think he may have started too soon though?)

Post PCT bloods

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but what is the downside of doing the higher doses to be on the safe side?

Everyone has their own different versions of PCT and how many MG of clomid and nolvadex to take. Whatever works for you. I don't see anything wrong with your PCT.

Actually to think about it. That's the exact same PCT I'm doing.

Ok I didn't know that. So when your vision got blurry did you scale back? Did your eyesight recover?
