Permanent insomnia - Need help

Hgh gives me amazing sleep. Have your tried that? If you’ve tried all of that and nothing is working I’d see a sleep specialist.
 
I feel like I have had it permanent insomnia since 17, I remember that's when I started doing really badly in school. I also started becoming irritable at this age whereas I was a kind child before.

Age 19-21 I had the sweetest girlfriend in the world but on sleepless nights I would get angry with her and start fights for no reason. She broke up with me.

Flew through university not achieving much but I got my degree. Age 23 got my first real job, missed important meetings several times and coworkers would tell me to my face they were concerned about me dozing off.

Got diagnosed with ADHD at 25 and started taking Vyvanse. Vyvanse is a drug where if you don't have your sleep dialed in 100.0% you should never take it. It makes everything so much worse but if you're "dialed in" it genuinely is amazing.

Age 26 (this year) I ended up getting fired from my job that I was a star employee at until March because the sleep debt just accumulated and people IRL could notice me decaying week by week.

Throughout all these events I never realized at the time how much of an insomniac I was until now looking back it was so obvious. I don't have sleep apnea btw.

In the past 5 months I started AAS use, testosterone I would estimate made my sleep 10% worse but that could just be from weight gain. Playing around with AI dosing and upping the T/lowering it has not made a difference.

I haven't taken Vyvanse or caffeine for the past week and have been on 200 mg ModAlert for the past 7 days and 2-4 mg eszopiclone (Hypnite) since 3 nights ago.

When I wake up at night which I usually do I take the second 2mg pill. Surprisingly I have not woken up groggy because of that which could be 200 mg Modafinil (ModAlert).

First night on 2mg I did get a nice 9 hours of actual sleep, interrupted only once to pee. Got 1.33 hours of REM that night which is like 3x more than I was getting without it.

That day I felt so much more awake. But I didn't feel fully "healed" if that makes sense. But it was this feeling like "Damn, I actually might have a shot at having normal energy levels some day".

It feels like real actual sleep, not the temporary placebo BS I used to get from magnesium, melatonin, GABA and all the other junk. Maybe Z-drugs are worth a shot.

You may want to add Zaleplon to your arsenal. It's very strong but the most rapid onset, shortest acting of the "Z" drugs, and ideal for middle of the night wake ups. The US military uses Zaleplon as the anti-Modafinil, a "No-go pill" for fighter pilots and special forces to get sleep when needed, without any grogginess upon waking, as long as it's 1 hour or more. India pharma sells it as "Hyplon". A bonus is that it doesn't build tolerance like Zopi and Eszopi.
 
Been using a sleep aid for 30 years. I can only use the same sleep aid 2 days in a row. If I try the same sleep aid a third night I won’t sleep for shit.

What I found best is to rotate them frequently. For example, Monday night I took unisom 1.5 hours before bed. Tuesday was Ambien. Tonight will be trazadone. Then Unisom again followed by Mirtazepine.

Just ordered Some zoplicone to add to the rotation.

Falling asleep has never been my issue. Staying asleep is another story.

Thanks, I’ll consider picking up some Hyplon too since I need to re-up soon.

Do you have any theories as to why some people generate tolerance to Z-drugs within just 10 days versus other people who have used the same one for 10 years straight and it’s still effective for them?

I think it might be that the drug formed a habit, or consistent dosing regimen (most people can’t even take a pill at the same time every day they stop start stop start it’s insane), or just genetics.

I bought some Zaleplon (Hyplon) for mid night wakeups and noticed it’s n super effective

I started using it as my primary sleep aid (I.e. right before bed) and it works way better

Massively reduced time to sleep and also makes me want to fall asleep

Genuinely feels like the $100s I spent on eszopiclone might have been a waste?

Zaleplon bros why have you all been keeping this stuff a secret?????

When I can’t sleep it’s time for the delta 8 or 9 gummies. Those knock my ass out all night. Deep sleep. If the meds aren’t working I’d try that instead

Just so you know, I did a deep dive into this a while back. TLDR they are effective, but the brain will become accustomed to the presence of these compounds, sleep mechanisms adapt to their presence at high levels, then they slowly stop working to help sleep as well. If you stop taking them sleep becomes even worse for several months until the withdrawal period is over. So I'd be cautious relying on them for regular sleep.

Same dynamic with using pot or any of its derivatives as a sleep aid, In fact, the most difficult part of kicking a cannabis habit is the resulting insomnia when stopping after long term use.

Pot is stupid, isn’t it also an estrogenic feminine plant, like it literally gives gyno and has estrogen.

The more I learned about it, the more I've realized we're being gaslit about how harmless pot is, along with a bunch of unsubstantiated health benefit claims. I ended up doing a 180. I'm not saying it should criminalized, but warnings should be as clear as they are for tobacco and alcohol.

Serious scientists are saying a mountain of evidence of harms are being ignored.

The scariest thing to me is the reduced hippocampus area (white matter) as a result of heavy use, and demyelination of nerves. The latter, ironically, makes you more susceptible to chronic pain. So it provides relief from pain, only making you suffer more, eventually. Sadly, while adult users can recover after extended abstinence, those who start in early adolescence can not fully get back to baseline.

I'm saying this as someone who's used my fair share and long thought legalization was the right way to go. I like the diseased lung pics on cigarette packs, I'd like the MRI's comparing normal to heavy long term user brains at dispensaries.

 
Have you tried melatonin long release and fast release I know there are some sleeping peptides you can try as well. Wish you the best fixing this

Ive been having luck with the rapid release 10mg. I tried slow release 3mg once but it seems to leave me groggy in the morning.
Last night I couldn't sleep. I felt so hot and couldn't calm my brain. I may have had some caffeine too late in the day. But I threw the kitchen sink at it and slept like a baby. L-theanine, phosphatidyl serine, ashwaganda, melatonin, magnesium glycinate, mod grf1 300mcg, and ipamoralin 300mcg. Fell asleep about 15 minutes later and slept all night. It was great!

you want Magnesium bicyinate for night
Also L theanine, Zinc and Valarien root capsules

Thanks me after using this, also hgh at night low dose helps. Turn all gadgets off 2 hrs before bed including TV.
