might add 2 playoff teams. I have mixed feelings on that one. If it gets my teams in i am happy if not than it sucks lmao
2. Instant replay. I am for this although somehow they still manage to make the wrong call and I dont know how they take so long everytime
3. 15 yard penalty for celebration especially if it appears choreographed. All for this one. ejection would be more appropriate

I'm all for Instant replay. but they need to get more cameras on the field. 1 on each side of the goal line for starters. I don't know about more playoff teams, we don't want a bunch of sub 500 teams in there...........11

my .02. there are a lot of good .500 teams every year who don't get into the playoffs. great parity of talent in the NFL. for this reason i'm all for playoff extension, i agree 2 teams is the line. i'm not all that against endzone celebrations either, i don't think it's that big a deal if Terrell Owens wants to make an ass out of himself in the endzone, i don't think it effects kids all that much and if anything, i think it makes for higher entertainment value. thick interested to hear why you're so against it - i'm assuming you feel it's bad sportsmanship and in overall bad taste..

i do agree that the league has so much more parity that 2 extra teams really could be deserving. I would almost rather the 2 to not be determined by conference though. It would suck for a 9-7 to be left out b/c one conference is way tough and a 7-9 get in from the AFC ;) . As for the celebrations I have a real problem for a number of reasons. 1. They do it for themselves. It is them first and the team second. They could be behind by a touchdown or 20 points and be more interested in their stupid dances and stunts rather than winning the fucking game which is all that matters. The competitive sports i played I didnt care about anything but winning. 2. It is bad sportsmanship and kids do follow that shit and it carries over into youth sports. 3. Publicity- How much stupid time did espn and all other media fucks spend on the cell phone deal. Quit even showing the shit. This ties into number 1. I dont remember who won the damn game. Just that a cell phone was used. Totally takes away from the team.4. I just dont think it is very classy. Of course we are talking about leagues where probably 80% would be stealing hubcaps if they werent fortunate enough to be pulling in this ungodly money. IMO the majority are thugs and no amount of money and income status can clean up there act. They are incapable of fitting into society in a positive note. These are my opinions and 80% isnt a good figure for all sports but football and nba basketball is way too thugged and gangstered out

agreed, all good points.. i don't have any problem w/ an icky shuffle or 2 after a pop warner touchdown, but i guess when i have little crews my view on that might change.

lmao, that is the major reason i dont want two more teams. I despise the dolphins and they have been w/in a game it seems every year. I dont want them to ever win another superbowl.

If they add 2 more teams then maybe the Dolphins will get in for a change

only the salaries

LOL......the salaries just add insult to injury. Nothing like making $ 5MM a year to be ignant and carry a football....and yes, I did say "ignant" :D

lmao, it does add insult to the whole equation. I need to win a big lottery and I will spend at least half of it getting fans to quit being sheep and boycott hollywood, prosports and musicians until shit gets straight. I will also end the senators etc retiring after their short service and getting thousands/month benefits. And on and on. I will pay for the 10 million person march. How is that

1. I don't think that we need anymore playoff teams than we already have. In fact we have too many already. Fact, no team seeded lower than 4th has ever won the superbowl. The system we have right now is fine the good teams get a well deserved first round buys, and the wild card teams are strong but always play on the road. If you want to make the playoffs you best do better than 9-7.

1. good point and really there doesnt need to be any more

2. I don't like instant replay. It is simply slows the game down too much and changes the way the game is watched, played and managed. Oh don't use that last timeout to get the right personnel on the field you might need it for a challenge WTF. 99.9999999999999% of all football games played are played without instant replay and they get along just fine. So what if Vinny didnt get across the line cry me a fucking river. Now I've got to put up with my football getting interrupted every fucking game. I think its really done to appease the gamblers. The NFL won't admit it but they have a lot of rules that can only be explained by the influence of gambling on the sport. Take the injury report for example. If a player is suffering with an injury you better list him a questionable because if he doesn't play the NFL will level a heavy fine against the team. Now who are the only people who have a vested interest in knowing if a player will or will not play on Sunday the bookmakers because it screws up the line.

2. I just hate the fact that some calls are so horrible and literally can change the whole game. Replay needs revised and you shouldnt risk losing a to over it. A booth clown should initiate it if he sees something close. Kinda like college bball. If the ref is unsure of whether the foot is on the line for a 3 pointer he checks the film. Takes a minute or two and gets the call right. I like this. Very true about the gamblers and oddities about nfl's injury rules

Hello gents,

I think adding 2 more teams would be embarassing for the league. That would make almost 50% of the teams in the playoffs. 8-8 would not be a playoff team buddy and it would discredit the regular season.

Now I am going to get trashed with this comment but the reason college football is so great right now is because of the greatness that is the BCS. Right now when OU and UT play in October, the game means something. Lose and you are done. The same thing goes for NCAA basketball. I haven't watched one second of college basketball before last week because it is all irrelvant. Don't bother with college basketball before late March because I could care less. The same goes for the NFL if they continue to add teams. The regular season importance is comprised because any jackass team could make the playoffs. If anything they need to take out one or two teams and then it will really be interesting.

I like the second rule though. The NFL for many is all about "me".... Look at me everybody, I'm Terrell Owens, me, me, me, me, me. I am god, everyone loves me, everyone wants to be me, blah, blah, blah.

I wasnt aware that they ever won one bro.

replay

i still think it is necessary but needs to be reworked. it is very annoying how they do it now but there is potential. The big 10 is doing it next year due to some game costing calls i believe

isnt their faggot claim to fame the only undefeated season? edit: did that not include a superbowl win?
They got smoked 24-3

Heres a recap:

The Cowboys rushed for a record 252 yards and their defense limited the Dolphins to a low of 185 yards while not permitting a touchdown for the first time in Super Bowl history.

Dallas converted Chuck Howley's recovery of Larry Csonka's first fumble of the season into a 3-0 advantage and led at halftime 10-3.

After Dallas received the second-half kickoff, Duane Thomas led a 71-yard march in eight plays for a 17-3 margin.

Howley intercepted Bob Griese's pass at the 50 and returned it to the Miami 9 early in the fourth period, and three plays later Roger Staubach passed 7 yards to Mike Ditka for the final touchdown.

Thomas rushed for 95 yards and Walt Garrison gained 74.

Staubach, voted the game's most valuable player, completed 12 of 19 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

Sory Pats fan, the 72 dolphins did not play in the 72 superbowl. They played in the 73 superbowl Miami 14 Washington 7, they finished the only undefeated season in the history of the NFL 17-0. I'm not a dolphins fan but its the truth.
Your half right..my bad they did win in 73 and 74 but thet most definetly lost the year before to Dallas.

you would only b half right if that was the year i was talking about lmao. since i am talking about the year that windigo posted you are all wrong ;) the bcs does suck. it could work with some common sense but you cant just pick 2 teams as the only two deserving of the title in most years
