Power + athletic gains

Considering doing a cycle at 21 years old…

I’m a D1 baseball player with pro aspirations.

My test is 343 and estradiol is 16

I’m 6’3 195lbs at 20% body fat.
Average MLB pitcher is 6’3 210lbs at 13%.
(26lbs more LBM)

Seems like I’ve hit a brick wall gaining muscle since high school. 295 bench 405 squat 495 deadlift so pretty strong.

My cycle would be just 500mg x 16 weeks test e + AI + hcg. And clomid pct.

Questions:

Do you think my body fat % is a big hazard? And is there any precautions?

Any athletes can you share how steroids impacted ur performance?

How tight flexibility wise do u get on a cycle?

Any other insight is much appreciated.

Time for some tough love.

This quoted section, with your stats, means your diet and training are not where they need to be, which means steroids are not for you.
If you are serious about pro aspirations, fix the basic shit first.

Diet? Cals?

They will make you perform better in every way possible.

Lifting stats are on par if not better than most pro baseball players. I’ve worked under a strength coach most of my HS and college career so it’s not really training. Diet should be better. But Speed and size is where I fall behind.

4500 calories with 225g of protein has been my typical macros. Quality could be better but I don’t drink anything besides water and I don’t eat fast food

Okay, I'm wrong.

For the record I'm a retired d1 athlete.

But the 21 year old knows better, how silly of me to comment.

For the record, I wasn't commenting on your lifting stats. You're reasonably strong for your size and age as a natural. I was commenting on "hitting a wall"

I can tell for an absolute 100% fact that if you've "hit a wall since high school" with your height weight and bf that there are in fact issues with your training.

4500 calories? Seems excessive personally with your stats, but maybe since you're an athlete you require more. How much weight are you gaining in a week? If you're truly 20% bf you definitely need to drop some weight before thinking of doing anything else

If you’ve decided you absolutely must be on hormones and you’re a drug tested D1 athlete with pro aspirations then I would recommend you avoid doing a cycle all together and instead attempt to get on legally prescribed TRT. You’re natural test levels are low enough that you could likely find an online clinic to prescribe you at a minimum 200mg Test C (many will say this isn’t a true trt dose but here you’re obviously looking for a performance advantage so don’t worry if it’s actually a trt dose or not). There are some clinics that only charge about $100 a month for that.

This would keep your test levels at a constant level much higher than your current 343, which alone will give you a significant advantage in performance without being detrimental. But even better, having a legal script for test C would likely protect you from any positive drug scteens provided medical exemptions are allowed.

But like many have said I would first clean up and maximize your diet, training, and lifestyle and save the hormones for when your at least 25.

I’m gaining about a half pound a week. I gotta dexa scan that says 20% body fat but that does seem high imo. I can’t really cut 20lbs to drop body fat without significant impacts to performance in the mean time.

NCAA/ MiLB can and will deny therapeutic use exemptions for trt unless there’s extremely low numbers
Self prescribing would be a better option as the hormone tests look for a 4+ to 1 testosterone to epitestosterone ratio. And naturally you have a 1 to 1. Meaning I could cruse at a 1100 test level and still pass the test easily.

However, I heard cruising like that is very detrimental to long term natural test production. Testing policy doesn’t bother me too much because they rarely test in the summer or fall.

You might consider HGH first, since it doesn’t really shut you down. 2-3iu would keep your tendons and joints up to par. If you must use AAS, TRT test only. Beyond that, testosterone inhibits collagen growth. You really want elbow pain or jumper’s knee out of nowhere?

When we think Barry bonds, mark McGuire, etc.. these guys were on for life. They don’t care about having kids. You might be someday. Keep that in mind.

just my 2 cents.

I'm going to agree with @BigTomJ here and say your diet and training probably need to be addressed before anything else. I know that's not the glamorous answer you're looking for, but it's the hard truth. I would bargain to say your sleep quality is another factor, seeing as your test levels are on the lower end. I think after this, you should look at natural supplements or peptides that aren't banned, to boost performance even further. You'd be surprised how much these little things will help in combination with supplements/peptides. Hell man, with your stats and numbers, you wouldn't even need gear.

At your height, breaking 200 at 12-15% bf would probably be a good goal before jumping on. You’re pretty young still, so a couple more years and that should be no problem for a guy lifting as much weight as you are.

As far as athletic performance;
I have limited personal experience with ped’s, because when attempted it affected my sport poorly and I cut my first cycle short. My cardio was ruined rather quickly and that was not good for Hockey.
On the other hand, my explosive power and fast twitch were enhanced noticeably. I could see that being beneficial for baseball.
