Serious question. This isn't the first vendor to use these stoppers. Why are his swelling and not everyone else's? So far, I've only seen one swollen stopper posted. Did I miss others?

I store all my vials upright in a case. I realize they rolled around on their side in the mail. Of the four vials I currently have open, none of them are swelling. It seems like if just flipping them over to draw were enough to cause swelling, then transport would destroy them for sure. Yet, not a single one is swelling. I'm trying to make sense of it.

All good points. I wonder why it’s only isolated to a few cases.

I have quite a bit of gear from various sources and I’ve not had a stopper problem yet. Some are obviously better than others but none have swelled.

Could be inconsistent manufacturing. No one knows which brand primal uses, if use has been consistent, etc.

I’ve had it happen to a few randoms over the years. 1-2 gotten so swollen that they’d leak, and I’d just throw the vials out.

This is why some people make a big deal over stopper, especially if stored for years. Which many are doing now.

I have quite a bit of his gear. Enough that I don't want to toss it. Since it's all currently upright, I'm not in a hurry to change stoppers. Filtering and transferring into new vials is a huge pain in the ass. I will at some point, of course.

I’m happy people are taking these issues seriously. Solvents use, chemical leeching, impurities, etc. used to get laughed at and dismissed.

It’s impossible to avoid it these days, but if I could lessen risk of getting cancer from pinning ugl gear, that would be nice lol.

People should also be aware, that this also comes down to how gear is brewed. If the lines that finished oil is running through, aren’t intended to handle the solvents in the oil, stopper quality is irrelevant.

Again, how you do one thing, is how you do all things.

Which is why transparency is VERY important. When you have very little knowledge of actual inner happens, you can only make assumptions based on known behavior/actions, which become applicable to your operation as a whole. Hence heavy scrutiny

I’d have to think things will be ok stored upright. Even when you start using a vial, it last what… 5 weeks? You tip it over 10 times.

I’m not trying to downplay this. We need to keep pushing stopper quality.

no there was like 100 that used silicone stoppers when those ran out but those are clear so you would know

My vial of Lady Test has the shitty clear silicone stopper, I think he said about 100 vials went out with those

I think I have 10 or so of those shitty silicone stoppers on vials from primal as well.

These were exclusively used based on Primal's post except for the short silicone run.

Now look at the specs on those butyl rubber stoppers. No paperwork or origin info as far as I can see. Compare to the class 6 stoppers I linked to.

I am going to put myself in Primal's shoes on this one. I would be pissed. Goes to show how important stopper formulation and specs are on injection vial stoppers. Fortunately there are very good and extremely cheap alternatives. And I appreciate @Primal_Pharma switching on new vials as soon as possible.

As far as product already out there, you know the drill. Serious risk of stopper falling apart and into your anabolic go-go juice every time you draw. Not even going down the leaching rabbit hole when you invert the vial.

Silicone incompatible with BB. Unfortunately the butyl rubber stoppers Medlab shipped are crap. Need to be washed, rinsed, and sterilized. Were the stoppers autoclaved? Butyl rubber has decent BB compatibility. This looks like a manufacturer issue to me.

All stoppers require appropriate washing, rinsing, and sterilization, whenever applicable, to meet industry specific requirements.

Class 6 USP certification? Who knows? Make in FDA DMF facility? Not a clue.
