Progesterone to reduce estrogen with TRT

Its not if its a gel its the delvry system that is the secret to making it work. Taking PC advise means that I could cut T dosage back by 60%-70% and still get the effects of TRT without nasty side effects. FI you search on here you will find what he had me do and it trippled my free T and also double bioavaible for 13 bucks a month about :)

HAN, now I worry about you gettng out of straight and narrow path.

Remember, all FreeT tests are wrong.
re-read this:

An Extraordinarily Inaccurate Assay for Free
Testosterone Is Still with Us
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

To find out you testosterone status do only this test at Quest:
Testosterone, Free, Bio/Total (LC/MS/MS)
That also have FreeT, but it is calculated not assayed.
Anyhow, go by BAT~575

To find E2 status do
Estradiol, Free, LC/MS/MS (36169X)

Try to get FreeE2(0.45 -0.6)
Blood drawn at Quest, doctors are messing blood and vials up.

Reread this, so you know why you want FreeE2

Clinical Significance:
Much of Estradiol is bound to proteins. The unbound
portion and Estradiol bound to proteins with low affinity
reflect the Free concentration. The Free Estradiol may
better correlate with medical conditions than the Total
Estradiol concentrations

Jansz I had the total testosterone panel down with included free T , % of free T / total/ bioavailble/ Shbg so those results one that you have been suggesting. So results are accurate my freind..

are there any studies on the use of pregnenolone creams to lower DHT? any on the use of pregnenolone to raise BAT?

Saw my doc yesterday. We're keeping the T cream at 100mg but we're separating it out from the rest of the cocktail due to some anecdotal evidence of T being hampered by the other ingredients. We're also cutting out the HCG completely in part due to skyrocketing DHT and E2.

New regimen is:
100mg of compounded T cream
25mg of progesterone and 10mg of DHEA compounded cream. Thinking is progesterone can inhibit DHT and some E2 formation.
50mcg (micrograms) of Arimidex daily for high E2. There are some reports of daily small amounts being very effective and my new pharm can compound the Arimidex.

We're also changing compounding pharms from one here in Spokane to a Calif outfit. My doc has had some patients that have had less than predicted results w/some of the elixirs coming from there. Full retest in 3 weeks.

Couple issues

I don't like the idea of straight progesterone. It is a feminizing hormone. You need more pregnenolone. This will lower DHT.

Call womens intntnl
They can definitely mix
preg
dhea
T
Chrysin

in any desirable proportion.
They may have other ingredients.

I am expecting my compounded preg gel to arrive any day.
Switched to gel after I heard that sometimes it makes a diference.

Wonder if it will pay out, gel is more expensive and thinner,
instead of 100mg/mL it comes as 50mg/mL
plus it have a little larger spoon to get 1gram.

FYI JansZ,

I know you have estrone issues

I have been researching the subject

I3C prevents estradiol from breaking down into estrone.

It needs to be taken in high doses

Try at least 150 - 200mg per day to start, then taper down into maintenance dose.

Hey Doc

Its quite common kowledge in the endo world that pregnenolone breaks down into progesterone, immediately. It, along with 17 hydroxy pregnenolone, are its first metabolites.

Progesterone inhibits DHT by directly competing with it for the 5 alpha reductase enzyme. This process is present in MANY tissues, including the skin/scalp/prostate/acne

Theoritically, it could help prevent hair loss and prostate swelling/cancer

One reason why PMS'ing women get bad acne is related to this - there estrogen levels skyrocket and progesterone levels plummet - hence a decreased action of progesterone on the 5 alpha enzyme. This might increase DHT for then and also be partially responsible for thier increase in libido prior to menstration

i am going to run 50 mgs of pregenolone creame and have blood test taken in 4 week before and after to let you know. I know this is true because I saw my dht drop from 210 to 80 in less then 4 weeks before but i never knew why and now i know
