Progress/training log part 2:getting beary serious

Thank ya Broliath, it wasn't so bad, had customers bringin me hella food so i wont have to cook much for a couple days haha.

Yeah, my family did Thanksgiving Sunday because they have a ton of people eating at their restaurant today. I slept in until 8:30am and lounged around until almost 1pm and went to my girlfriend's and had Thanksgiving with her family. I smashed a big plate and then she put on Secret Life of Pets for her son. Everyone fell asleep and he left the room, so I watched the entire movie with my arm pinned under her. decent movie for a cartoon actually. Then just hung out for awhile.

Friday workout

1.skwaat 6x3 275lb 1x10 135lb
2.Deadzz 405x1 3x3 385lb
3.lat pulls 5x10 140lb
4.bent over rows 5x5 155lb
5.bent over rear laterals 3x12 20lb
6.cardio :( bunch of people today so i just did 20 minutes incline treadmill 18.5 minutes at 12 incline at 3mph then the last 1.5 minutes i kicked it up to 15 incline and bumped speed up .5mph every thirty seconds so 3.5 4 4.5

Everything felt heavy today.
The squats were tough, the 405 single felt like a billion pounds and i did the 3x3 385 touch and go as there was no way i would have been able to do full stops.
The last few days bave just been bleh as far as lifting, dont know if its the addition of cardio or if its just an off week.
Hopefully next week will start feeling better, regardless i will press on till i cant no mo.
Still having fun of course, but am slightly disappointed in myself that my strength is stalling out already.
 
I generally do full stop, but the 3x3 at 385 was on the program for today and i knew the full stop wasnt happening so i just did what i had to to make the lifts.

I'll have to talk to the bear and see what he says, im hoping this week was just a fluke and next week will be better
 
Every time I've added cardio to my routine it's taken a couple weeks to get back to feeling right. I feel all around better with cardio than with out it.

It would affect your strength though at first? That may be what it is because last week before i started the cardio i oulled 405 easy peasy and this week after doing the cardio everyday it felt heavy af.

It's probably the added cardio my man I'm sure you'll feel better on Monday. We will see how you feel by next Friday and how much weight loss you get this week but remember the ultimate goal is weight loss so that you can get to a point you are happy physically then we will go into a responsible bulk.

As for the cardio itself I find LISS generally makes me feel weaker then HIIT. Maybe next time the gym is packed go outside and do 10 sets of 40yard dashes instead of the treadmill. More explosive and less time consuming plus increase your speed

We will see how you feel by next Friday and how much weight loss you get this week but remember the ultimate goal is weight loss so that you can get to a point you are happy physically then we will go into a responsible bulk.

Ah yes geographically I am in the same area/weather system so I am with you on the rain. I usually take my dog for a walk in the morning regardless of the whether but I can't do outside sprints when it's wet unless I'm on a turf with cleats on. Ya try and focus on more HIIT then LISS and that should help. Of course you are stressing on the strength you've worked for it and we will try and get the best of both worlds but at the end of the day I don't think we should compromise your ultimate goal for a daily satisfaction goal, it's nice to hit numbers for sure but I'm more concerned about your weight loss number and honestly you have been cleaning up there cause we are looking at close to 20lbs in the past 2 and a half months that's no small feat.

You are correct, gotta keep eyes on the prize. Plus i think i will rebound fairly quick once i start giving my body what it needs to grow again.

Im thinking once i hit the 250 mark the next goal is probably going to be 225 like we discussed as i think that is going to be at or around when i get to a point where i am satisfied enough with appearance and strength can jump back to the number 1 priority, and then its fuckin game on haha.

But yeah i will work something out this weekend for the HIIT situation, havent had much time this week so I've just kinda been winging it lol.

Went hard on that today, on the last go around of exercises i was fuckin dead just hit failure and only got about 1 pushup and collapsed and just held the plank as long as i could. Gotdamn.

Weight this morning was 263.4lb which gives me about 2.2lb loss from last week so i guess apparently this cardio nonsense is doin ghe trick lol.


Had some kid come up to me, Adam i found out his name was, right before my 1x5 and he goes "damn dude is that all you? Thats crazy" lol i just told him thanks man but it really aint nothin for my size, and he was like "its better than me by a long shot" so i just told him to keep pounding food and lifting heavy and he would be there before he know its.

Kind of funny to realize their are people who look at me and think im strong the way i look at some of yall strong mofos haha.
 
Way to grind my man, always someone looking up to the next level of strong and as long as they got the right attitude I'm all for helping them achieve that level as I'm sure you would too. 365x5 is better then any average gym goer does regardless of size too

True dat, i never see anyone except for like 2 other people even break into the 300's for reps. Im just glad that i can stay humble and not say things like "yeah im about to slap some more on if you wanna watch" hahahahah.

He seems like a nice guy and he's hella down with Dragonball, thats how we actually got talkin the first time cuz he has a Majin "m" tat on his neck and was wearing a turtle hermit symbol shirt haha. Maybe next time i see him i'll see if he wants to workout with me, teach him some stuff.
