Prop vs cyp

There seems to be controversial advice given on test c vs p and water retention. Is all test created equal with water retention? I'm really hoping to hear from Scally or someone with evidence. Thanks!

Only evidence I have is my experience with my last few cycles. When I run for example Tren E and test E I tend to hold a lot of water weight and stay around 12% bodyfat because of it. With tren A and test p I can easily get down to 8% bodyfat with a healthyand balanced diet.

Bf% should have nothing to do with it. I think most people experience same as you because they bulk on long ester and cut on short. Diet cardio etc is different. I'm in contest prep so I will definitely hit 5% bf or less but I want to be dry/hard...

From my understanding the higher bodyfat also make people hold more water. The results for me are still the same though. Every time I run a long ester I tend to hold water. I rarely hold water on fast esters.

Okay I see what you're saying that might be true I just meant regardless of which Ester I use I will definitely be 5% or under. I hate using prop I'd really like to go into the contest on cypionate but I want to make sure that I don't look smoother. My whole thing is coming in shredded so I have to be hard and dry that's my bread and butter for winning

Ok, it sounds to me like you need to run some winstrol if you want that hard dry look. Other than that I don't know what else to say my friend. Everybody is different. Me personally I wouldnt run test c while cutting. I love fast ester because I hold no water weight on them.

Lol I appreciate your Insight but I don't need help building a cycle I only need to know if I will hold more water if I continue test cypionate vs. Propionate. I'll be on test, primo, and masteron. I have both types of test in hand. I've already been on trt cyp so it's already in my system I did my first shot of Prop yesterday and it knotted up and hurts like hell and I feel like s*** so then I have to take Ibuprofen and I prefer to just stay on it cypionate
 
Only reason people use prop going into a show is because they usually drop the test a week or so out.
I don't really get water retention. You gotta drink more water and not eat junk food. Those two control your water retention drastically. Your estrogen can be in check, but eating like junk will bloat you up.

Edit: since you're going into prep I think you will be fine with water. You can run C up until 4-5 weeks before the show

That's what I'm thinking I feel like most people have more water retention because they're bulking and eating worse or even just higher calories more carbs more sodium on Long Esters versus when they do their Short esters. I'm definitely eating very good I'm on a really quality meal plan and I trained two to three hours a day 6 days a week

Test is test, the ester won't change that. If you're 8% on prop and 12%bf on cyp, your diets the problem. A 4% bf difference is fat not water(bloat). People with higher bf convert to e2 easier so they might bloat more.
 
Thanks guys I'm hoping somebody will chime in with some actual evidence but I was thinking the same thing test is test it just how fast it's released it shouldn't affect the amount of water retention. And because I hate propionate I'm going to go ahead and resume cypionate from now and probably do this show on that and see how I look.

You answered your own question my man. The thing is, people usually bulk on longer esters, so water retention is usually higher. People usually cut on shorter esters, so water retention would be less. Honestly.... I just run test e all throughout. But I'm not competing (not yet). I can see props use for someone who runs PCT, or someone nearing a competition.
 
Hell even on TRT. Once my dose gets locked in, I will probably blast with Test and mast prop each. That way when blood tests come around I can drop the test 3 weeks away from it and come in with decently physiologic blood levels of test

Water is considered lean body mass so more water with everything else being equal means lower BF%.
 
I did not know that Doc. Learn something new everyday. I personally like holding the least amount of water weight as possible. Just looks better.

Many people don't realize it bc they think bloating. They might even think they're getting fat due to bloating but lean body mass is everything that's not fat which includes water, organs, muscle, glycogen, etc.

Intramuscular water won't give off the bloated look. It gives the full look. Subcutaneous water will make you look bloated
