For general preventative and anti-parasitic use it's .2mg/kg, once a year. So 20mg for 100kg person.

For clearing demodex, a skin parasite present on most adults, it's .2mg/kg once a week for 8 weeks,

Recently identified as a cause of rosacea (the live in pores and are inflammatory when they die and release waste). Eliminating them evens out skin tone for many people.

It's available as a topical from dermatologists, but oral is much more effective

I plan to write this up in a separate post, but I may as well drop this here in case anyone's going down the accutane route. Order some ivermectin tabs when you order isotretinoin. After my accutane cycle was over, I noticed my otherwise clear skin was still blemished here and there by pimples that weren't acne, more like very tiny bumps and blisters.

Long story short, I discovered they may have been caused by demodex mites that live in pores and feed on cells and sebum, which all of us are infested with to one degree or another. They induce a whole host of skin issues, from pimples to...

I personally know people that almost died during a community health posting. Turns out that if you have certain genetic variations, It can enter the brain and cause neurotoxicity. Like I said, first world experience varies.
I am not from the first world. I went to boarding school in a riverblindness endemic area. Some people would have headaches and mobility issues during PE classes. It was attributed to malaria. Many years later, it turns out that due to genetic polymorphisms, it ends up in the brain..

Isn't/Wasn't Ketamine called an Animal sedative? The media will run with whatever the media wants to runs with. I think It's only the North American press that decided to be to calling it Horse meds. It's more sensational to call it animal dewormer... than to call it what it is.

I have a few friends who decided to their doctor's recommendations and standard medical advice. One, an ultramarathoner, suffered a major heart attack that required him to undergo a quadruple bypass. He no longer runs. However, he fared better than my friend who skipped the chemotherapy for her breast cancer and instead participated in an alternative medicine treatment. She is no longer with us.
