What happens if a sterile filter fiber ends up in your ass? Serious question but I assume it's bad.

Depends on what the particle is made out of.

Current thinking is most injected inorganic particulate contamination makes its way into microscopic blood vessels where it ultimately causes a microembolism to form. As these accumulate, they're likely a contributing factor to eventual organ failure.

If they end up in a joint, they can induce inflammatory arthritis speeding up degeneration.

I’ve used plenty of kits.
I never filtered or tossed any vial.
I am not that poor to justify this with finance because even if I pay 4k per « premium » vial it won’t hurt me much.
But i use our $4 vials.
And it works fine for me and I am in a perfect health and never had any injection issue beside some minor pip on test e in the past.

Unfortunately there is no test to add to the "enhanced" suite to address visible particulates. It is finished oils 101. The most basic of basics. This is simply negligence to let vials be shipped to customers with visible particulates floating around. I'll reserve further comments until QSC comments here.

I do agree with your idea. Since QSC has such a recurring issue make them be the leader in regular testing and surveillance. They should be testing each batch of raws with GCMS as well as HPLC plus suite of testing on finished oils.

I agree with you and Bware… the cost for these test with the volume they brew are cents…

November orders were preorders.
It all started shipping in december.
Stoppers has been changed yes, everyone can confirm this.
I never talked about new filtration system except months ago when we changed the pump and it was obviously not enough.

I'm.playing devils advocate on both side.

maybe this is not one of the new vials MAYBE.

It would be better if we could see a full picture of the vial to check stopper and caps and see if it does look like the old vials or the new one, the full kit even better to check if they are all filled equally etc.

Anyway I hope you will try to find a new solution to this issue Tracy if it's confirmed that it is indeed one of the " premium line" vials.

This is utter bullshit. So many sources have been ran off over the years for floaters and you “lol” about it and just say there is nothing you can do and for everyone to deal with it. What happened to your QC machine that is supposed to detect floaters?

It’s truly as simple as only filtering certain amounts through a particular filter and turning your vacuum pump down a bit to fix this.

I truly hate to see that this is now being accepted, at Meso of all places.

Or maybe is the cheap shit Chinese filters they use over there… you know … the China way…

I spent quite a bit of time on a very small, out of the way military base. Drank thousands of gallons of the tap, didn’t have any other option.

Found out just this year that the water, which was supposedly cleaned 30 years ago, is full of PFAS from firefighting chemicals many years ago. (No, not Lejuene)

I feel fine, never noticed anything, don’t have bladder or kidney cancer. But who knows if 20 years down the line it’s gonna get to me, and I’m not trusting my experience over the guys who have had ill effects.

Floaters are bad, full stop, regardless if you have been lucky enough to avoid them.

Could add in a few positive controls with pharma or compounded pharma products although the absolute concentration of impurities will be lower than in the raws obviously.

Ok, I am going to start with the simplest example I could think of that may be of interest to members. Getting a C of A from Pharma isn't as easy as it used to be. This took a little work with persistence. I have sanitized some of the details from this one to protect manufacturer confidential information as per forum Terms and Rules.

Even being permissive, a visible particulate free vial doesn't seem like a big ask from a major operation like QSC.

A little off topic but I just want to point something out, as history seems to be repeating itself before my eyes.

Don't mistake low quality products coming from China as "China=junk".

There was a time when Japanese manufacturing, then Korean, were also synonymous with low quality.

What's actually happening is that China, like the two countries above were previously, are willing to produce products to a low price point western manufacturers won't or can't. This cost cutting results in compromises, but in the case of many consumer products means a person with a lower budget would otherwise go without, since the higher quality options are more expensive and out of reach.

I know from first hand experience you can achieve any level of quality you're willing to pay for in China. iPhones are generally excellent build quality with extremely low defect rates. and are made in China.

Sometimes the "low price point" ability of Chinese manufacturers is just too low, and the compromises unacceptable to consumers, but it's so ingrained it can be hard to convince them to make their product a little more expensive so it can be made better. "More expensive" is just not in the nature of most Chinese manufacturers.

But they can, and do make improvements in response to feedback, eventually.

So let's just keep our end of the feedback loop up, but also, when appropriate, acknowledge that QSC, as frustratingly slow as it often is, does listen and respond with incremental changes. While floaters are unacceptable, they also just raised the testing standard for all UGL AAS labs.

The "nothing bad happened shortly after injection so it's fine" safety standard is definately strong here on Meso.

I tell the younger people who work for me that they need to keep preserve themselves in the best possible condition, because there's a real chance they could live well past 100, and won't want to be alive but trapped in some clapped out body. Certain things can't be reversed once damaged.

Their prices are not QSC prices so ppl would tear them a new one. It's simple psychology if ppl buy something for peanuts they are more inclined to accept a lower quality overall.

If it's something they can even fix without much trouble than they don't see much of an issue about it.

Let's get real. One party (the originator was serious). The other, while they followed through, evidently was being flippant/sarcastic with the action by their own admission. Never would have done it on their own. Tries to diminish the value of the testing at every opportunity. So let's be careful with the word "raised".
