Rebound semi-log

I decided to train legs today and it went quite well. I followed the same low rep, more set scheme as I did arms; I was able to knock out 5 sets for 6-8 reps each exercise with little rest in between sets. IDK but I like training this way now; I have the energy once I get moving and is also makes the heavy weight get a better pump, which usually doesn't happen compared to higher reps.

I hit squats (which I haven't done in forever) and then hack squats to start, followed by SLDL. I did calves in the middle of my workout: the logic was, not to get them weak before doing pressing movements. I did 6 sets of them, using heavier weight; the max reps was 10 at most, but 6-8 range. Despite the heavier weight, the 30-45 seconds rest gave them a great pump.
Then I finished legs off with extensions and curls.

I turned the extension machine into a leg curl lol, since my gym doesn't have the one-legged version.Capture.PNG

216.8 this am despite DOUBLING carbs. Feeling good. Strength increased all on lifts (obvious).

Three days of Berberine use has lowered my fasting BG from 101 to 89 already, despite the massive increase in carbs... quite impressive.

221 this morning... floating around this weight for the last three days; seems 3500 calories are my maintenance so far, so I can now eat more food and be less fat. In other words, I began my cut Feb 21 at 3000 calories, and now I can eat more and stay leaner than I began; that is a win for me.

226 this am...

If I am at maintenance, I probably shouldn't be this heavy, am I right? Or should some weight gain be expected? I haven't changed in the mirror that much at all, so I'm assuming most of the weight must be from glycogen stores being replenished.

I have not been following your exact protocol. Those 5 pounds could be multiple things combined you know, maybe you just took too much sodium yesterday? Also when on nandrolone I'm retaining water from salt a lot it seems.

Btw look heavy, must be pretty big in real life what is your height?

I'm like 6'2 and 230 now but I don't really look heavy...

I'm 5'11.

Well, I've basically doubled my carbs since I stopped cutting, so that's no doubt contributing to weight gain, but 217 to 226? That's about 9lbs, and I wouldn't wager that half of that is fat.

Dude you're built like a tank!

You look freaking intimidating and it really suits you, I think you shouldn't obsess so much with your weight!

I would think twice before confronting you, lol, no I don't do that I'm pretty calm person...

Damn, thanks to you I feel small now :D
If you're 6'2 230, as lean as you are in that pic, I'm pretty sure you're bigger than me lol. It's my chest that's huge, which is genetic. My arms are not even 18 unless pumped; my calves are a gay 16 inches lol.

A few actions shots in the gym to get an idea of my frame not posing and just in real space.

It's not about only about the size, I'm not big, for 6'2 that's like not that much and when cruising and leaner I'm only like 220 at 12-13% lol...

I mean you look like you could kick my ass that's what I mean and btw you look very big from side and your chest and arms are big.

Well, yes, I do have that "thickness" from the side because of my chest, traps, and back; but my arms are not "big" as they should be. My left arm is 17.5 cold; right is 17.25. I actually lost size from the cut; at one point the left was 18 pumped.

If I had 19 inch arms, and 18 in calves, I'd look insane lol.

But I do appreciate the compliments lol. Thing is, I'd take your abs over my flabs right now.

Fucking woke up this morning at 230lb, so I took a pic and compared it to when I was 220. I notice a bit of more water on my stomach, but I'm essentially the same leanness.

Also, I measured my arms now that I stopped dieting, and they are back at 18 left, 17.5 right, cold!

So I guess this rebound is working well, and the weight I'm gaining is mostly LBM, with the expected water retention form higher carbs.

Left: 220 Right: 230

234 this morning, fuck!... that's nearly 14lbs heavier when I started this log. However, I'm not getting that fat; it seems I have films of some water retention, and a bit of fat starting back up on my lower belly and lower back, but that's it. Legs are still lean; quad still feathered a bit. I basically look like an off-season bodybuilder at this point, with many lines that I did have, fading away. Although I was much leaner at 213-215, I was much smaller, too. So this rebound seems to be working. I'm gaining more LMB than fat, that's for sure.

I'm not on clen or t3 anymore, so the GH must be preventing any too much new fat gain from occurring. Granted, I've been also eating some crap here and there, but nothing too far off from my TDEE; all week I'm on point, just on the weekends I let loose a bit with the family for a meal or two.

I used my wife's phone since it has better quality.

225.7lb this am... this is my true and stable weight.

I stopped GH last Thursday completely, and I even look leaner somehow. It seems messing with GH, and going to high dosages, like 10ius was too much, and it was putting much water retention. Thus, your body is always fluctating and you don't know what you really weigh. I think this is why pros are like "yea I lost 10lbs this week"; 10lbs of what though? I feel GH is why a lot of these guys are just giant balloons of glycogen rather than the granite muscle.

Nothing has changed without GH; sleep is still good, recovery as well. I don't see the point in running it anymore. I have 8 kits left; I could just add a lose dose back, but IDK if I will. We'll see.

Right now still on 400/400 test and primo. I was toying with the idea of adding 200mg of Deca.

I'm eating 3500 calories, "clean" but also snacking on a thing or two here and there eating freely with no worries, and I haven't gained any fat and look good.

My buddy Gabe was right.

Floating around 227lbs, not as lean in midsection anymore, but that's to be expected.

After thinking about how everyone is telling me to go no a cruise, I decided to exclude primo from my shot today, and therefore, I'm dropping all gear except Test, which I'll keep at 400mg a week, for a month or six weeks, then I will begin my next mass phase.

When my next mass phase begins, I'll be taking Test/Primo/Deca and back on GH at 5iu a day.

Training, I'm going to use Dr. Mike Israetel's Volume Periodization Method, using a PPL split. It requires me NOT to train to failure, using RIR of 3-4 reps. Each week you add more sets to each muscle and reduce your RIR; the last week or two, you are at max volume and all sets to failure. Then that week is followed by a deload; then repeat.

I'm actually excited to try this system since I've never done it before.

I'm halfway through week one, and I must say, feels good not to train to failure actually lol.

So no further updates other than these.

You could have just kept the primo and reduced everything by 50 percent. Or just ran 200T, 200 primo.
