Reconstituting peptides/melanotan-2 with regular saline versus bacteriostatic/preserved saline (i.e. with benzyl alcohol)?

Be aware that some peptides, including I believe Melanotan 2, are acetate based, and saline can cause a reaction causing sodium acetate to precipitate, destroying some of the peptides and reducing the effectiveness. I noticed this when using PT141 with a .9% saline with .9% BA water. It didn’t fully dissolve and there were hard flakes of an off-white color.

Just gonna bump this again for a possible answer?

When you dosed the PT141 mixed with saline, did you find a significantly inferior response when compared to mixed with bac water?

I read something similar on reddit, just curious about your actual response to one versus the other?

I did notice quite difference in effectiveness. Then when I switched to normal bac water it worked very well.

Apologies I'm being repetitive but;

Saline didn't neutralize it entirely?

When mixed with saline, it still had effect, but just weaker?

Then bac water it was full effect presumably.

With mt2 it still have effect with saline, possibly weaker - hard to know.
But I experimented by mixing one vial with bac water and another with saline - and with mt2 there was no observable difference in appearance, whiteness, flakes etc.

But yeah, any insights on the above - it still be effective with saline, albeit weaker?
Appreciated.

your blood is pretty dang saline.... ie once administered it would be in saline rendering it useless... remember folks use saline nasal administration of peptides.

again, jano tested even more fragile peptide that supposedly needed acetic acid... no change..

always use Bacteriostatic Water. no need for saline anyway.

hope that helps

What am I missing?

Any thoughts on our friend above that experienced compromised pt141 quality when reconstituting with saline vs bac water?

point is saline with melanomas is frequently used and works for nasal spray.. no issues noted and lasts for months on shelfs in tanning salon.

but ALSO there is no need for saline with sub q so why use it ever? then dont have to worry about it.

plecebo or bunk peptide.. I mean peptides can be hit or miss and dose very sensitive. for example ipa with mod worked very well for a week or so than stoped "feeling it" does that mean they degrades 50+% in a week? or is there something else going on...anecdotes are important but take with a grain of saline, if u will...

IF potency decreased so fast that would be noted right after reconstituting it would prob have half life of minutes once injected and exposed to saline that is our blood. and if reacted with saline so fast the product would still be an active form.

if BA at that level denatured proteins at any real level it would KILL bacteria and virus, but of course it does not simply prevents multiplication for the most part. buddy is just spewing a half understanding of chemistry and made up a reason why he thinks they say use within 28 days... BA is used in viral vector vaccines and such so if BA attacked such things it would degrade within days/hrs and not last and be effective past that time, but of course tested rigorously tested for whatever vaccine lasts for some 2-3 weeks depending on type, same with insulin etc etc. wonder If use methanol at significant concentrations in HPLC testing of peptides or other products. or solvents used in purification of peptides/recombinant peptides.

ANYHOO... buy pharma bac water for 10 bucks and move on lol...

To be fair, my experience was with PT141, which I assumed is similar to MT2, but perhaps the differences matter.

Next time I have some I’ll take a picture.
