Reinjured my foot... Seriously cannot believe it.

Second surgery is now complete. Back home and resting now. Feels good and in about 12 days should have an idea of how this is going. For now, rest and stay off my foot completely.

This time they used a product to promote new bone growth. It is called Infused. A link for those that find medical advancement interesting.

Infuse Bone Graft Proteins

Will continue to update and really do appreciate kind words and advice.
Well that was fast. That's great news. Did the doctor say anything about what he saw? Any explanation for why it happened? Has your doctor used this product before?

The screw did not take in an area, the best current guess is poor blood flow.

The thought behind using the Infuse is it works really well even when no blood flow or reduced blood flow is present. It is normally used in spinal surgeries but the cost was irrelevant to me so I splurged. It was about $9k for the infuse alone.

@Inspired Thank you for all your suggestions. My surgeon loved all the products you suggested and even wrote a script for one of them. Seriously immensely grateful.
Wow, that is great to hear. Unfortunately, most times I give out information, people don't really do anything with it, or they never tell me if they tried it out, so I'm very happy to hear that from you. I'm also happy to hear that your surgeon liked these ideas and wrote you a script for doxycyclin (I assume that's what it was). It's a good sign that the surgeon liked these ideas or was familiar with them, because let me tell you, there is such a big gap in knowledge out there, and most doctors just don't have any clue about these supplements. Maybe he is a good one.

Blood flow in the foot is a problem. Jones fractures, which is what I believe you have, are very tricky because the blood flow there is not good and that bone takes a lot of pressure, especially depending on the individual person and how they walk. The bone grafts proteins were probably your best chance at getting this thing healed, because while you may have healed normally with another screw placed there, sometimes it just doesn't work. If it works, it will have been worth the money for sure. I really hope this works. These injuries can be all consuming, but eventually something works and it heals.
