We are concerned about purity and dimers since they are good predictors of side effect intensity. And because prior research has shown that dimerization (and higher order aggregation) are related to the formation of antibodies.

agreed, UGL testing 96.xx% purity and no dimer doesnt make shit pharma grade. there is a whole slew of procedures, chain of custody, QAQC schemes, excipient recipes, PH balancing procedures, etc that UGL doesnt do, regardless of the molecule being the same
