I remember back in '98(think it was 98?) when the muscle mags were talking about who was going to succeed Dorian. It was as if Ronnie came out of nowhere. He made such a crazy transformation from just a year before. Everyone was talking about what drug combo he was on or what cutting edge secret drug he had found.
I may have the years confused. It may have been a few years before his run but there was one season where he just jumped over everyone and made such remarkable changes and slapped on so many pounds of muscle in such a short amount of time.
All done while being a cop? That may be the most unbelievable part of his whole story, imo.

In 2009 I was at a music festival in D-Town and you should have seen this one cop that was working the festival. Probably 6'3 275 pounds shredded. He had sick veins all over his arms, easily 20+" arms. Dude was straight jacked.

Ronnie Coleman looks like he has made a good recovery from his most recent surgery. These pics are from a photo shoot last week that he posted on his Instagram account:

I follow Ronnie in IG too, it's been pretty awesome watching him get back into it. When he first started back it was almost sad for me to watch, he hadn't touched any weights for a long time and was still pretty laid up. Walking around metro flex with crutches in both hands... I got used to seeing the guy tossing around 200lb dumbbells.

I enjoyed keeping up with him because it's almost impossible not to love the guy's heart and his passion for bodybuilding. Look where it's brought him a couple months down the road! There is a good reason he was crowned the title as many times as he was.
