Well seeing as I don’t need it for glucose management would there be any real merit to use it ? I know Hgh is synergistic with insulin, and it will make my body better at nutrient partitioning, I assumed that the application between long acting basal(lantus) and rapid acting(novolog/humalog) were for different purposes. Lantus being for glucose management for people with higher fasting blood sugar, and humalog being used as a partitioning aid for post and pre workoutWhat’s the reason for using insulin?
I’d use 4-5iu with your pre meal 70mins or so before you workout. Effects will still be there 3-4houes after injection
That seems like quite the hefty dose dosnt one unit roughly drop bg around 50points? Help me wrap my head around this protocol and why it would be beneficial for meI’d use 4-5iu with your pre meal 70mins or so before you workout. Effects will still be there 3-4houes after injection
Nobody will go hypo on 3-4iu generally. Your eating 98g carbs pre workout then 30g carbs intra. General rule is 10g carbs per unit. 4unitsx-10is 40. So you have plenty of of carbs to cover the insulin in this instanceThat seems like quite the hefty dose dosnt one unit roughly drop bg around 50points? If you were me how would you run pre workout /post workout rapid insulin with this meal plan and how would you dose it around the existing carbs, and how much would you use ?
My fasted bg seems to not want to go very high most recent bloods were at 90

Pre or post and the soda isnt something I always have, my coach wrote it in for me because I like sprite, it’s just carbs. That being said my post workout meal is 98g of carbs** edit ** my apologies the meal plan cropped the post workout where the sprite is it says with meal right next to it so that’s my bad for the confusionPost workout being 38 grams of carbs from sprite makes it hard to answer. That is very weird for someone who wants to use insulin after training. unless I’m misunderstanding the diet/ meal timings and you have a post workout meal WITH the soda.

He doesn’t want me using it currently, I’m definitely going to take his advice but I want to educate myself for the future.Yeah that makes sense, just wanted to clarify with the layout haha. Like JT said 4-5 is definitely reasonable. I usually do it by half the carb divided by ten. So for my post I eat 200 carbs, so I will do 10iu. For preworkout I get 160 carbs + 40 intra workout so I will also take 10. This leads to no trouble with blood glucose because it is fairly conservative. Could start with 4 and head up to 6 (with sprite) depending on results. Also though if you have a coach definitely just listen to them!

His words are it’s one of the most overrated drugs in bodybuilding which I could see being the case. He is a lot more conservative with my dosages too.
You don’t see it being an issue seeing that I’m going hypo post growth shots? I take 8iu before bed and the last few nights I’ve seen my blood sugar drop to mid 50s
Hgh not insulin I posted about it in the opti thread I had my bg drop post Hgh injection before bed and I’m concerned there may be an underlying issue with my insulin sensitivity, and if that’s the case I’m trying to clarify that it won’t pose an issue if I ever do try exogenous insulin pre/ post workout I know it’s active life is relatively short therefore by bedtime it should be long gone out of my system8 iu insulin with no meal before bed? The insulin of course should drop blood sugar. Depending on your blood sugar before you took it that makes sense. If you don’t want blood sugar dropping like that, don’t take insulin before bed or without an appropriately sized meal.
Well in my opinion and experience, if you only take 4-6 iu before and after training with the carbs you specified it shouldn’t make you go hypo due to the amount of insulin compared to the intake of carbs.
I have never taken insulin before bed, and only take lantus or humalog when I know I will have access to food. I also make sure my carb intake exceeds my insulin use by a large margin. This means long acting in the AM and short acting around training, and this is also not during cuts, lantus only with legs training.
Using insulin also necessitates strict adherence to meal timing when you use it, so you can avoid those kinds of things.
Hgh not insulin
Thank you for for chiming in I appreciate all the advice and notes.Well again the use of insulin is based on the time you take it, so I’m not sure what that has to do with the effects when you have correct carbs with insulin.
I’ve also been hypo upon waking or before bed regardless of insulin protocol, due to the diet, meal timings and insulin sensitivity, even in the off season with some gh. I’ve seen friends also wake up or sleep with similar numbers after restoring insulin sensitivity during a cut, also hgh users, and they hadn’t had problems either, because insulin is used with food and when they are not in a state of hypoglycemia

looking SolidCurrently on a trt+/cruise dose still not too many weeks left before we’re bumping things up.
Weight has been climbing steady and I’ve been maintaining strength.
Holding a tad bit more body fat but not much

I switched to prop because I wanted to see how it made me feel and how I handled estrogen conversion on a different ester. I seem to be fairing well.
No welts no bumps no soreness @Opti ’s oils are treating me kindly .

I have a lot of work to do to dial in I haven’t been on point and I don’t want to pay the price later on.looking Solid
I was using prop for a bit too. I seem to respond to it better than enanthate as far as total t/estro goes. Only negative is the steep drop off. Even with ED pinning I’ll go from 2500 total the day of pinning, to 500 total the next morning.Currently on a trt+/cruise dose still not too many weeks left before we’re bumping things up.
