I got it ....i think Animal sounds right, if u wanna add some lbs of muscle, u gotta stack compound exersices such as deadlifts and squats to ur workout scedule. If defination is the prob then stack ur scedule with some isolations.

i've heard- for mass one should go for compound exersices, if he aims to get leaner then he should combine it with some cardio such as 200x running (depends on goal)
I disagree with that last statement completely. Theres no reason to switch from compound movements to isolation just because you want to lose some fat. The only reason you would do that is if spot reduction works. And it doesnt, so theres no reason to switch.

Agreed Bob.

Bob read my statement again..if u cud please

M not saying switch to Isolation for getting leaner, m saying try isolation for defination of that muscle (if defination is one's motto).

I've also said that to lose fat stack ur schedule with some cardio.

i dont think if there's anything to disagree bro??

If "definition" is the problem - then you need to quit eating crap, not start doing isolation exercises.

AM
Exactly.

1) There is no such thing as spot reduction, so isolation movements arent going to provide any benefit.

2) What goes in your mouth will be the biggest determinant of fat-loss results

3) Compound movements burn a huge number of calories as compared to isolation movements

4) Since fat loss is a matter of calories in vs. calories out, the more calories you burn, the more fat you will lose

5) Because of numbers 1-4, there is no reason to switch from compound to isolation movements.

AM could play the bad cop. With him being ~250 pounds, bald and with a goatee, he looks a lot meaner than I do. But we all know hes a softie. ;)

Eat more frequently and at a level above your maintenance calories.

well.. thats it?

i've heard u must

1. Take 1gm pro/lb of weight
2. Drink a gallon of water daily
3. Dont exceed ur workout time more than an hour.
4. Incease weight in exersice not reps..!!

Is this the way i should follow to retain a +ve nito balance??

Dude, you're making this WAAAAAAYYY too complicated. Forget "positive nitrogen balance". It's marketing hype. It's hooey. It's a "smart" way of saying the following:

1) Lift like AnimalMass tells you to.
2) Eat LOTS and LOTS of food. Make sure you eat lots and lots of meat.
3) Wake up and repeat

Grizzly took the words out of my mouth. The only place you hear people talking about "positive nitrogen balance" is in all the lame bodybuilding magazines and websites. Its looking at the tree and missing the forest.

AnimalMass is most likely the strongest person on this board. He eats a lot, his workouts are probably closer to 2 hours, and he doesnt spend even one second per day thinking about positive nitrogen balance.

I got it bro...its not easy to escape from marketing hype.

bros..as i said m not a new body in muscle building sport. sometimes i feel as if there is nothin happenin in my muscles (even my best part) after some good workouts, then some1 in the gym told me that i might be hitting plateu. He said platue may alter the muscle growth as ur muscle get used to of that phenomenon.

He also the best way to prevent hitting the platue is to change ur gym and workout schedule.

???? how can i know that m hitting a platue
or its too just a myth like +ve nitro balance.
