See I speak English, Italian, and decent in Spanish. And while I am fair skinned I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Iranian -- Arabic. My problems are my own and a result of my decisions coupled with the chaotic nature of life.
But by all definitions I am Caucasian, just seems arbitrary to assign race as the culprit to a problem, which is in fact racist in itself.
I am interested in everything and everyone. People are fascinating creatures... mostly just weakness and ulterior motives, but I have found it beneficial to get an idea of where people are coming from. You are kind of like the borderline looks chick who answers the phone and comes over when I'm bored... nothing deep or mystifying- just a bend over with no questions type. I am similarly tiring of you as I do them. I hope for more because you seem so attentive, but nope, nothing there. You broke my heart.
Assigning race to a problem is not racism. Racism has an element of superiority- the belief that a race is inferior to ones own race. You state that your problems are of your own making and you are by most definitions caucasian... so do you think that your experience in life would have been the same if you were black? Do you believe that the police, employers, judges, landlords, etc would have treated you exactly the same if you were 10 shades darker? Asking for a friend.

If I attribute that statistic/problem to race, is that not racist in itself? Or am I just stating facts?
Are social programs like affirmative action which are based solely on race not racist?

1st apartment was done over the phone landlord -- never saw my skin color
Current job I hold, was interviewed over the phone -- never saw my skin color
Judges -- only interaction with them was as a minor and as an adult fighting a parking ticket
Police -- only interacted with as a minor, and twice in motor vehicly related issues.
But to directly answer your question, no, I never stated that my life would have been EXACTLY the same if I had the same amount of melanin present in my skin -- you can't change variables that would compound over time to drastically change outcomes and expect the same results.
That's like saying would I be the same if I grew up without one of my parents, or in a different country. Nature vs Nurture.
My father has been "randomly" detained at airports many times as he is quite a few shades darker than me.
How I am treated has little to do with how I react to my said treatment.
