My pump is tried to a cold trap and 4 way with desicator, vacuum oven and rotovap with an extra long hose for filtration and the exaughst goes into the fume hood. Some batches I use a stainless reusable 50mm clamp set up with that peristaltic pump . Depends what the use case.

What are you using for cold water pump on your trap setup? Are the temps low enough? I have to use dry ice/acetone to get cold enough. I run the cold finger style in tandum through rotovap condenser then through standalone cold trap. Still will get some vapor through. My pumps are good and can handle anything thrown at them. But are to expensive to chance wetting them all the time. I love having the control now though with the heidolph vario control pump, it is nice to just set to whatever Mbar and control will just keep it there without having to hear it running all the time. It is nice for the desiccator.

their internal "hplc" test is a gc_lc = gcms xd so not hplc not 98%

Vevor lab water chiller on the rotovap condenser that gets down to 0°C the vaccume hose is on a 4 way with PTFE shut off valves, between the 4 way and pump a cold trap in dry ICE that is shared with the vacuum oven and desicator and extra line for non sterile filtration, and the pumps exaughst is routed inside my fume hood that stays on while using the rotovap so any vapor doesn't remain in the lab.
