Semaglutide and Tirzepatide Mechanism for Weight Loss?

I searched and haven't seen this asked before.

Does anyone know if Semaglutide and Tirzepatide cause weight loss through any means other than suppressing appetite?

I am curious if it's beneficial for most people here. If your diet is in check and you are eating in a calorie deficit to try and lose weight, would adding these do anything?
At the same number of daily calories with and without these meds, would it enhance weight/fat loss?

The appetite suppression comes through slowing down gastric emptying, meaning that eating an apple will give you the feeling of being full. Like eating a big meal of 2000kcals where you sit down and feel like fuck that I cant eat no more or I will throw up. That's how the appetite suppression is - it's not blocking the hunger signaling like some other drugs do (ritalin, sibutramin, and so on).

Also it does help with insulin sensitivity and improves it a lot, which by becoming more and more sensible to carbs, helps losing weight with the adjusted calories.

Imho the leaner you are when starting, the longer it takes to lose weight with these drugs, but it still works. Just takes time. If one is super fat to begin with it will work very quick even at low doses in the beginning.

My dad being diabetic got prescribed a pharmaceutical blend with probably some sort of insulin and liraglutide combo. It works, lost already 8~9 kilos. But like @HB_22 said, he is very fat.
