Skin Care Routines

Perhaps a bit of a weird question--bodybuilders talking about skin care routines

but what do you guys use to help minimize the effects of any AAS induced aging, and maintain healthy skin?

Mine is pretty basic, but I'm looking to add to it:
- Basic exfoliating scrub
-Cerave hydrating foam wash with vitamins
- Morning moisturizer that contains sunscreen (I believe it's 15 spf or so)
- Night time moisturizer that contains OTC retinol and Hyaluronic acid to prevent/reduce any wrinkles

I kind of want to add RX retinol to the stack as it's supposed to work wonders and a lot of people have good things to say about it

Just wondering if there's anything else I should look into, or that others have had good success with

I use Bio oil on every inch of my body. Im not a body builder but i did have strecth marks and hyper pigmintation spots that are not even visible anymore. Makes your skin feel like silk. Even with losing alot of weight i dont have wrinkles or saggy skin anywhere. My face gets dry though so someone with oily pone skin shouldnt use it on their face. Just body.

I use Cerave gentle face wash in the morning
followed by Tretinoin on face and neck every other day and adapalene on opposite days
bio oil to seal it in and keep moisturized (heavily)

Its just called "Bio oil". Its an orange bottle white box. Walmart, target, cvs and amazon have it. Its a little pricey but i swear by it. My whole body feels like silk after i use i and it helps with elasticity and stretchmarks. I used to have deep purple stretch marks and now most are gone and some remain white colored.

I use just the regular oil. The gel is okay not as good as the oil imo. Never tried the lotion

For face: wash with warm water and a wash cloth twice a day. Retin-A and a light moisturizer at night. Currently Graydon Phyto Clear or Stratia Interface.

For body: bath wand with a Neutrogena body wash. If you have greasy skin or body acne, they make one for that. Otherwise just a plain one.

I used to use that body wash in my endless fight against bacne.

In case this helps someone else, I'll point out oily skin, like two shower a day kind, is a condition called "hyperseborrhea", excess sebum production.

It's not only annoying, it greatly increases your chances of male pattern balding. The sebum glands are rich in 5a reductase, and when they're overactive they make even more, becoming DHT production super factories. And not only are they right next to your hair bulbs, sebum itself is a great carrier oil for DHT spreading it all over your scalp.

Accutane can permanently reduce sebaceous gland size, shrinking your pores (a visual improvement), and making your skin regular, instead of oily.

Yeah in that case, it's super-annoying but change your bed sheets every day. In addition to Accutane.

Oh believe me, I've done all of that. Never wearing a shirt twice without washing is another. But for the first time in my life, I know why people use moisturizer and hair conditioner. I had no idea it was a "condition", and just thought oily skin was a "type", but normal.

Honestly just washing it with water, cleanser Cereva works and spot treatment for acne. Drink lots of water and sometimes shower multiple times a day helps a lot.

Okay. My skin care routine will shock you but I’m telling you it’s the truth. Warm water only! I struggled with bad acne for ages and still have scars everywhere. Tried everything except accutaine and nothing truly helped me more then having a 30 min hot/warm shower 3 times a day, wake up, after work/ gym and before bed. My skin has never been clearer. And this is facts. Also diet. Stopped eating fast food

I used Accutane back in high school, stuff works but is incredibly toxic. It dries out your whole body basically and pushes the acne from the inside out. Caused dry eyes and you need constant aquaphor for your lips.

I was on the road to consider taking it as a last resort for the acne I had. Struggled with it since o was 19 and now I’m 24. No skin care or acne creams worked. One day I just gave up and stoped buying all this expensive shit and now I literally only use skin care products when my girlfriend wants to cleanse my face lol

I don’t have any issues with gear and acne, but had hell with acne as a teenager. I used all the bullshit on tv and stuff you could get in any store. I’ve been using clear non scented hand soap for decades now and it removes the oil off of my face and haven’t had issues since.
