Thank you for acknowledging reality. No one said the male physique is at the top of women's priority list, certainly not above things like finances, status, confidence, humor, etc.
If you're going to claim physique is not even on this list with everything else, that I have a problem with.
What women say (about the importance of male physique):

Your challenge if you believe women don't care about the male physique: find me a romance novel with a dad bod on the cover
Was never the point of the conversation. The point is, men heavily prioritize how women and other men look. As others have already pointed out, women don't.Do you think all girls will prefer a skinny fat guy/fat blob over someone who eats healthy, takes care of themselves and has the discipline and drive to stay in shape?
Because in my circle most women are like men, they would always try to date those who are more in shape. Maybe, it’s different where you’re from.
Guys will always appreciate other guys who are better shape than them because it’s what good bros do, there is no risk to it.
DM me? LMAO.Was never the point of the conversation. The point is, men heavily prioritize how women and other men look. As others have already pointed out, women don't.
Women would list many different characteristics before appearance came into the equation, therefore, if my priority were attracting women, I would not put bodybuilding on my list at all. I would choose to spend my time working on the other things.
If my priority were attracting men, bodybuilding would be perhaps be my number one priority.
I catch women 'checking me out' with some regularity, which is a stroke to the ole ego for me but that is about the extent of it.I am not sure if you perceive what I wrote in the previous page as me being "nice" or politically correct, which is not the case and that's not the way I operate.
After all, there are men here saying the same I did.
Of course, there must be something that attracts you to another person.
But it is not what keeps you there.
And it is not necessarily a "gym" body.
Women are suckers for a pretty face and good hair, if you want the first impact, physical stuff.
And I may add height, as well.
Kind of a newish addition for me personally, but I hear that from young girls, all the time
Yes. Looking big and pretty is one thing. Realizing an untrained 250 lb bodybuilder would be mauled by a 160 lb grappler is another. Being big, pretty, and knowing you're dangerous is kinda thrilling.Training, nutrition and anabolics are the bread and butter of being dominate in a dog eat dog world. The only other thing that trumps those things is martial arts which should be taken as seriously as nutrition and training.
A warrior in a garden, not a gardener in a war.
Or that 160lb bjj guy got manhandled by the 250lb sambo wrestler lol. I don’t think the point he is pointing out is fighting .Yes. Looking big and pretty is one thing. Almost intoxicating if you let your ego take over.Yes. Looking big and pretty is one thing. Realizing an untrained 250 lb bodybuilder would be mauled by a 160 lb grappler is another. Being big, pretty, and knowing you're dangerous is kinda thrilling.
In my experience, for what its worth... I hardly ever listen to what women say and watch what they do.All these men trying to preach what women want lol ….
I do what I do in the gym and with my diet for me first and foremost. It's what I am passionate about and it's what I am good at. They are also skill sets that are constantly evolving which keeps things interesting. I never get bored with training.
I am kinda pissed at my gym right now. Some new manager they hired pulled me aside the other day and said I workout ‘too aggressively’. I admit I am a grunt, growl, etc. kinda guy when I am going heavy but come the fuck on? Is this a free weight gym or the YMCA?
This is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read.I was a fat kid because my boomer parents didn't know / give a fuck about nutrition or exercise. When I was 13 I noticed that all the jacked AF men I saw had beautiful women that aged well. This one guy in his 60's in particular had a wife that was 45 and hotter than most of the girls in the highschool I rarely attended.
I got a gym membership at 13 and have always trained 3-7 days a week, only missed a full week off ever due to massive sickness or injury. When I got my leg broken in 2012 I put on 25lbs and was all of a sudden treated very differently. I IMMEDIATELY got my abbs back and NEVER strayed the path again.
Being in shape, having clothes that fit, being well groomed is essential for not being looked over a normie and getting regular treatment. I don't want normal treatment. I want men to want to be me and I want women to want to be with me.
Nothing keeps my girl in line more than having other women hit on me in front of her like the wedding we were recently at. Nothing sets the stage for a business meeting better than being complemented on my delts by someone across the table, like last week - how is a skinny fat harry potter looking mother fucker going to try and assert himself in ant setting when by my grace he's not floss for my ass.
Training, nutrition and anabolics are the bread and butter of being dominate in a dog eat dog world. The only other thing that trumps those things is martial arts which should be taken as seriously as nutrition and training.

It's not like it's intentional on my part, just something that I have developed over time. It's generally when I am near, at or exceeding my 1RM on any given lift. Now that I see u, your post on another thread, I am bringing it here.
I wrongly tagged Narta earlier (apologies) when it should have been this, instead:
Well I kinda hate it, I have to say.
I have had a series of arguments with people (always men) that cannot keep their mouth shut and the whole gym have to hear them.
And no, I don't want to have to wear headphones just to avoid their grunting.
Nobody else is doing it, so why are they bothering everyone else.
It's a gym but one can learn to stop the bullshit and be self aware.
It's right they should have "had a word".
I used to go to metcons, held in a crossfit gym.
OK, the music was loud but even when it wasn't (and the workouts were fucking horrible), there was none of that.
So, I understand 100% why people would get pissed off.
Nobody wants to hear that, when it is avoidable, when they are trying to pay attention to what they are doing.
And to be fair, most people don't do it.
I always find the same idiots at it, so I know what time I should avoid going there.
You end up sounding like those women during a Wimbledon tennis match, all the moaning and grunting, like you are about to give birth/ have a serious case of hemorrhoids/ that diner scene from When Harry Met Sally kind of thing.
Just no.
It's not like it's intentional on my part, just something that I have developed over time. It's generally when I am near, at or exceeding my 1RM on any given lift.
Basically my entire fucking body is in a quasi-state of shock in those moments, so that some of it comes out in a vocalized way is not all that unexpected is it?
But I guess if my working out offends people at my gym I have no choice but to comply since there are no other options in my rural neck of the woods. I do have a (sorta) home gym in the basement at my house that I have built out over time that I can use when I need to go heavy.
So yeah, I will let the soccer moms and retirees win their battle. I have already won the war.
There are reasons for this, and it's not because those physiques were more physically attractive.I used to be a 145 lb triathlete, to a 180 lb skinny-fat, to a 190 lb big grappler, to a 210 lb lean and jacked bb. She literally does not care at all about it. The only thing she ever comments on is my weight and to be sure I am healthy. If she had to pick a physique, it'd be my 145 skinny or 180 skinny-fat.

Here's a good discussion on the topic, reconciling women's stated preference for dad bods with the harsh reality that when they consume any type of erotic content, you will never, ever, see a dad bod:

It's almost like a Maslow's hierarchy of needs for masculinity. Too many guys put being big and pretty toward the bottom in order to "feel" tough, when in reality, there are almost as many cons as pros to being big when it comes to fighting.Almost intoxicating if you let your ego take over.
